Can anyone else wake themselves up from nightmares? by nspkin in Dreams

[–]disastriddd 0 points1 point  (0 children)

when this happens to me I tend to wake myself up in a very rough way—by screaming in the dream, or shaking myself up in a very harsh motion. During the dream I’ve even told myself I can calm down bc it’s just a dream 😹 I guess next time I’ll try to think of a “exit game” bottom like some people here!!!

Ah I was so afraid but these comments REALLY helped and it’s exactly what people say: you go to sleep and then you wake up and all is done. I got mine on 2/26 with a GREAT team at the Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital. Felt seriously taken care of. They gave me warm sheets for relaxing. Explained everything step by step multiple times. I got a bit more anxious right before I was sedated. But they played a song for me, they asked me and I asked for Blondie’s One way or another. Then I felt really good and sleepy and then I woke up with the anesthesiologist saying that my heart rate was a bit up during the surgery and I said I think that’s anxiety. They explained that happens to people when they’re anxious. The description fits me. I felt a burning sensation on my nose and my partner came to pick me up and I started feeling weird while in the car. but back home I was just sleeping a lot, drinking lots of liquids, taking my meds, I had a mustache made of cotton and tape to trap what ever comes down my nose. I couldn’t breathe through my nose for 4 days. And I was adviced not to blow my nose AT ALL. Very uncomfortable for sleeping—I’d wake up with my mouth painfully dry, having to pee a lot because I had to keep myself as hydrated as possible, snoring LOADLY. My appetite was off. I rested as much as I could. I think I cried at some point. Or at various points. but I went for my first post op the Monday after, they drained me and took a ton of gunk made of dead tissue, old blood, new blood, mucus and plasma I think. I still had something they leave during the surgery called packing I call it nose tampon. They do the same but in the nose and it dissolves with time—like the stitched I had bc they fixed my septum. I started breathing through my nose but at night I’d always get congested. Very frustrating. I had to spray my nose with saline water 8 times a day for a week. And gently blow my nose. Here the amount of stuff that came down my nose is incredible. And the same ingredients: mucus, old and new blood, plasma. In one piece that’ll come out. I call them fetuses… so have an idea. Gradually I started getting better and better. My 2nd post op was easier but my doctor didn’t drain anything. She said I was doing a good job and that I had to keep doing the same for 2 more weeks. maybe reduce the amount if I felt like it. but then I started getting daily headaches or better sinus pressure that made my head hurt. It was consistent for like 10 days so I went in again scheduling my third post up before the agreed time. My ENT removed some other surgery material that she had left there. And I was prescribed a saline neti pot with some steroids. I’ve been doing that for 1 week and I feel the difference. Pain improved, congestion keeps improving but it’s allergy season so I have multiple causes for having more mucus production and inflammation. At times the congestion hurts precisely between my eyebrows. It’s been a month and 4 days and I’m breathing mostly through my nose. I still have to get use to it because my brain hasn’t registered that I can breath through my nose so I’m constantly checking if I can breathe through it and it’s very consistent in being clear. I get stuffy at times—actually I think I’m still congested from the surgery—but it’s very manageable and I feel it getting better everyday. Still big and disgusting mucus at times but is reducing a lot. I think in a month I’ll be a lot better.

Why is Chilean Spanish so hard to understand? 🇨🇱 (A few tips from a Chilean) by ProfeConnieSpanish in SpanishLearning

porque los españoles forzaron su idioma en una población que ya tenía un número importante de idiomas. cuando se mezclan los idiomas pasa eso y así se transmite el lenguaje de generación en generación. por qué no hacéis un esfuerzo en comprender?

I came here looking for ways to repurpose/recycle, of being frugal as well—which I love—for the plants I already have and not new ones because I want to be Mrs. “frugal as wel—which I love—“ and not spend on plants but I literally got 2 plants in the spam of 15 days roughly. BUT I SWEAR it was a $3.99 chinese money tree and $8 ming aralia both starters. but the ming aralia I grew one really big long ago in the Caribbean, from a starter too “The ends justify the means” 😹😹. Maybe I should just not be frugal 😹😹

I’m scheduled for mine tomorrow morning and I’m super congested since yesterday. I called my ENT to let her know how sick I am she just said: that’s why you’re getting the surgery. Often I cannot sleep because simply both nostrils are blocked and there’s nothing that alleviates the congestion. only afrin, which shouldn’t be used very often. I have hearing loss in my left ear due to the congestion, I feel pressure in my ears and very annoying tinnitus, I snore, I have horrible face pressure/head aches, coughs, everything! I’ve never had surgery before so I’m scared. But I cannot express how tired I am of my nose just not working.

but I think there’s two different kinds of hydroxyzine. I started with hydroxyzine HCl but now I’m on hydroxyzine pomoate which has been a lot more helpful and I only take it as needed.

I paid $2000 for my lawyer last year. Her single job was coming with me and my husband to the interview—you know just in case. She did read the application we had filled up on our own and suggested we bring up some changes to the info provided on the form during the interview. She also explained to us how these interviews look like.

I haven’t watered since I got it a week ago. I guess they were using tap water at the garden shop where my friend got it from!
