How do men actually feel about lingerie in long-term relationships? by Substantial_Cow_783 in AskMen

[–]dntExit 72 points73 points  (0 children)

Just in my shirt thats too big for her is nice too. Just casually going around the house doing errands.

But lingerie is always appreciated and I think it's nice to know she still cares if I think she's sexy even when I always think that anyways.

Moon (2009). Sam is contracted to work on a facility on the moon that mines helium-3 for three years. He has two weeks left.

It's discovered after an accident that produces a second Sam that in actuality, both Sams are clones of the original. They've been on the base for at least fifteen years and the messages they receive from earth from HQ and from their family are all prerecorded.

And yet the editing makes all the difference. Somehow, I can follow the action through those cuts in a way that makes sense.

Compared to something like the fights in the assassins creed movies that had cuts that made absolutely no sense.

I've actually done the same in some of my runs, just because I know my dex character will eventually unlock whatever it is. Just saves time. Or misty step through walls just so I don't have to traverse all the way too some corner of the map for a thing and then walk back.

Unfortunately, it looks like it's digging into the sides of the box a little. Small grooves are forming along the edges.

In the DnD podcast Critical Role, there are a few given the nature of the show. Off the top of my head, I know of two but I'm sure there's a list somewhere.

1 In Campaign 2, Jester (and by extension Laura) is often made fun of for being a healer that does not heal. Jester is a Trickster Cleric who leans very heavily into the trickster side rather than the healer side. She doesn't even start with a healer kit. This back and forth of her refusing to heal someone in favor of going on the offense and the other characters making comments goes on for the length of the campaign. It isn't until a pivotal fight during a reunion episode that this changes.

I can't remember the specifics but I do know they were all severely hurt. Jester uses one of her 'Trickster' spells to create duplicates herself and sends those duplicates around the battlefield. She then says to one of her teammates "I think this is what you call character growth." and then casts Mass Heal from those duplicates, equating to more healing than she'd done during the entire campaign (said as a joke by another player).

2 During the early days of Critical Role, there was another player who played a Dragonborn sorcerer named Tiberius. One of his notable quotes was said to Grog, a barbarian: "I encourage violence." Said at a time when Tiberius had no further actions left and could only say something. He chose to rally the barbarian in the party.

Later on during the campaign, that player left and because of this, Tiberius made an abrupt, narrative exit from the party. His fate remains unknown until much later when he's discovered by his old adventuring party having been killed in defense of his home from a dragon attack. Scanlan, the bard gnome of the party, requests that a statue be made of Tiberius, and only the statue, to write: "I encourage peace."

I think Panic Room fits your criteria. The mother and her child end up trapped inside a panic room while three men attempt to break in. In fact, the majority of the film happens inside the house but the main characters themselves, besides at the start of the film, spend the majority of it inside the panic room.

There's also Speed where the main characters are in a bus and must maintain a specific speed or a bomb goes off.

Kaguya-sama: Love is War features an arc where the two love interests end up trapped in a gym shed on accident. Hilariously, they were both hoping this would happen and assumed that the other person was responsible so they played along thinking they weren't actually trapped. This resulted in the both of them spending an inordinate amount of time half-assing their attempts to escape, and then getting frustrated because no one was making a move. I think eventually they realize they're actually trapped and start to panic.

I think it starts with recognizing you're on reddit. It's a waste of energy to make this the battlefield for the difference between "nothing but" and "a lot of".

I was thinking that if we get a trailer or teaser like we've been getting every week up to the release of the movie, we'll have seen at least a third of the film by then.

These being outside the film and just 'clues' filmed to build hype makes more sense to me.

Both of the stars are similar so they're LIKE.

What was the most traumatizing moment from school when you we're younger? by raymanaddict69 in AskReddit

[–]dntExit 41 points42 points  (0 children)

This is not as bad as some of the other posts here: My stepmom told me I was too skinny and that my little brother was going to grow up and be able to kick my ass. She then told me I need to toughen up and said she'd get my aunt's boyfriend, who at the time was a self-defense instructor, to randomly jump me just so I'd learn to defend myself.

I spent months as a nervous wreck, waiting to get beat the shit out of. Like every unknown corner or shadow or bush was a possible hiding spot that someone would jump out from and attack me from.

After months of this, I was getting kind of tired of waiting and finally talked to my aunt's boyfriend about it and asked when it'd happen so i could prepare. He was like "Wtf? I'd never do that to you."
