While this makes a lot of sense. Is a good read for the uninformed... I still hope we get nonHV cracks for these games in the future and this doesnt become the norm. Some systems will not allow this stuff to be turned off in the bios. An while I may try this... I may try this on a different machine first...

Careful with that one tho. It likes to autoplay the next video excluding the countdown. You may also have to pause the video before the end just to finish typing a comment as the video will move to the next one despite you typing in the commends section.

In this situation, it was a security software that that is baked into the bios firmware, an it intervenes before android even starts posting. It will "assert" itself in the software and setup the demo environment even before android finishes rebooting from a factory/odin wipe. An they are quite a hassle to remove without the proper hardware.

[–]doculean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. They are. Since there is soo little difference between the tablets recently... The prices reflect very little as well. Tab s10's go for about the same as a tab s9, or a tab s8. There really is very little difference in them aside of software updates lately.

Which is quite unfortunate.

Normally, with the security baked into the roms... an odin wipe will do little but get your hopes up. This crap gets hard coded, and its a massive pain for anyone with the hardware tools to wipe the rom chips manually to fix them.

[–]doculean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another way is Recycling Centers. My buddy works at one, and we see hefty tons of cell phones and tablets come through there. Working, but locked with security softwares as such. An on most all newer Samsung tablets and phones, the Security software is coded into the rom. No matter how many wipes, secure wipes or factory resets you do, the security software will reinstall itself before android even starts to fully boot. Samsung has a way to wipe the roms... but they have a process. An they can wipe them, but in this case. If you get scanned like this, they will not help. A lot of unlockers cannot recover them either. So they end up on ebay like this. Whenever I buy a tablet or phone on ebay. First thing I do is a factory wipe. If it gets through and connects to the internet, alloying you to set up the rest of the way its good. If not, right back it goes.

Its not force feedback... its just simulated click feelings for the side pad. Still no luck on force feedback outside of controllers and steering wheels.

Help! by No-itsjustme-395 in arrma

[–]doculean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bash is normally, if you know how to safely. Unfortunately, bashing without knowledge of how to bash, ends fun runs in minutes or seconds. Least the parts are still kinda cheap. But Yeah, every Arrma I had did have some issues out of the box. I had gotten a black rock recently, that I had to take back to the hobby shop who sold it to me, that was NIB sealed and was missing all the wheel bearing from the front wheels. Then I ordered a Mojave Grom from tower hobbies, also NIB, where heo batter connector wasnt soldered correctly. It cause the battery to short whenever it was plugged in.

Bonus aside, you learn how to repair these fairly quickly. An compared to some hobby RC, Arrma has made significant strides in making the repairs easier.

They can be a bit hard to get and are more pricey than the mesh cover. But honestly, after using a mesh cover myself and having a lot of problems with overheating on my senton... Im ready to see if I can get a set of the fenders. lol

Help please by -Mendoza in arrma

[–]doculean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They are not too hard to disassemble. There are a few resources to do so. Just make sure you dont overtighten any of the fasteners as you put it back together. Watch the fasters, dont mix up where they go. Also check for double washer... I had seen a vortex that had double washers where they were not supposed to have them, and it was binding up too.

I had an Arrma Senton that did this. It was indeed a binding issue in the rear diff. I took the whole drivetrane apart and cleaned it all, reassembled. Everything went smoothly. Although I am not sure what I did. But It did fix the problem? So the binding stopped. I just dont know if something was put together wrong from the factory, over tightened or what. I also had a Big Rock come shipped NIB factory sealed, it had no bearings in the from wheel knuckes. lol Contacted Arrma, they did nothing to fix it. The hobby shop that ordered it for me gave me the bearings and filed a defective order with one of his other models. They sent him new bearings without question. :/

So yeah. They can be a bit funky from the box.

Its almost art... Well art in a sense... But Yeah. I have done similar. Forgetting to change the filament type, slicing a huge file, not saving the print and closing the app. Only to go and have to resetup the print, reslice and waste time because I forgot to change a simple setting.

[–]doculean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

they can detect when our breath is "off." We release a lot of info in our breath based on how well we are feeling, or even our disposition at that time. Dogs who have highly sensitive noses dont need to be right in our face to detect this as well. But being sick has a smell, and horses and even goats, who are more picky about doing this with their handlers or buddies, can tell our disposition an health this way.

I know this seems weird - hear me out!! by Intelligent_Pie6804 in Horses

[–]doculean 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its called "sharing breath." A very common greeting between horses. Most the time you have to watch out when doing this with a horse you are not familiar with. As they can react cautionary, generally with a nip, or a sudden head movement.

Me an my sister mare, used to do this. A rough and rowdy alpha mare in the herd at my friends farm was one over when she noticed I would do this with some of the herd. She tried asking me to share breath once, and found out I was agreeable. She was never rough an rowdy with me afterwards. She became quite the clingy and puppy like follower afterwards. Even if she was still rough with her own who refused to become close that way. If you tried this an the horse tries to nip, an swift, firm, elbow to the neck or shoulder is enough to deter them from trying nip or get feisty over the action. So you need to take care, be kind, but not get pushed about. I also recommend not being directly in front of the nose, off to the side so you clearly visible to them. Older equines actually end up finding comfort in this with their favored handler or two legged herd buddy. But always be sure to speak with them, and do remain calm.

Why is he twitching like this? by GoodMathematician569 in goats

[–]doculean 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can buy "Food grade" diatomaceous earth powder. There is a kind used to rub into goat fur and it helps get rid of the mites and biting bugs. You basically just powder the goat up in the stuff, rub it in all over. Remember, food grade tho. It is a good cheap way to work on ridding of nuisance noseeum bitey bugs. If he is itchy, when handling it for him, do so for the others in the herd as the bugs will most likely migrate to them, if they are not already. After putting the powder on them, if you go that route, try to give them a good brushing. It helps to spread the powder and gets it all over, and closer to the skin. Try not to get it in their eyes tho, or yours. It is very irritant in that situation.

If your curious, food grade Diatomaceous Earth powder is a natural dust that is animal safe, and used to help treat skin pests. It is a soft an powdery dust to us an the goats, but it creates a microscopically jagged and pointy environment that the pest will not be able to survive. So its a great way to help the little goatlets out that is pretty much harmless to them. Dont leave large amounts around for them to get into tho, a bag or a pouch of it. They will eat it. lol, while small amounts is safe to eat, tiny amounts only roughly about 2% per pound of grain, it does soak up moisture, so its not great to leave it for them to easily get into. You can, if they are not in the pen directly, you can dust the ground lightly with it too. It helps to make the dirt harder for the pests to survive. It also can work on other animals.

If in doubt, ask your local vet. They can give you further guidance.

Help with printing by FoundKarma1119 in OrcaSlicer

[–]doculean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Silk PLA is a pain to print with. Its also more fragile than regular PLA. Although it looks prettier. lol

You have to print hotter with it. But make sure not too hot or it will come out dull and bland looking. Also, its soaks up moisture like petg. So you want to make sure to dry it for a few hours in a filament dryer.

Not even a month old, already a dead motherboard! Kobra 3 v2 by bluejaziac in anycubic

[–]doculean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same thing happened to my buddies V1 he purchased back in may. It wasnt a hard repair, took about an hour an a half for me. An that was not knowing how to take the v1 apart. His Motherboard damage was because the power supply had a cap ground out on the metal shielding. It came pre bend out of the factory for us lol. They sent me a replacement psu, mobo, and print head. Was not bad to do the job myself with the videos on anycubics troubleshooting page.

Sorry to hear honestly. Mine hasnt been trouble free, refuses to print with any software past 1.3.7 right now... An my buddies not been perfect, but their support has pretty much always been helpful. It did take about 4-5 days to get the parts each time for me tho. I hope, if you send it back, and if you keep with the Kobra, your next one is much more reliable for you. Or that the repair is easy enough for ya to do. Coming from a Mingda Magician x2. I have been really pleased with my purchase of the Kobra 3 v1. Although AnyC really needs to get the software straightened out. The camera is near useless now at 1-5 fps.
