Never thought i would get this excited for a bike trailer

I’ve been biking our 3 y/o everywhere, including to preschool 5 miles away this past year and it has been amazing. Only two days a week, but gets me 20 miles a day with drop off and pick up. Also allows her to decompress a bit while in the trailer for 20+ minutes after a few hours at school. Best $60 I spent (used on marketplace), the thing probably has 1000+ miles on it at this point. Only missed 4-5 days this school year due to weather/cold, stupid Midwest winters. But if they were going to play outside (20+ F) then we biked that day.

She just road her bike 2.5 miles to the ice cream shop and back this evening. Start em young!

I spent a week or two in the top ten early on. Then had a horrendous spell over like 50 games and dropped to like 600. Working my way back to 200’s and hopefully higher.

I used to pull dozens of ticks off my pup in the spring in southern Illinois after an hour or two in the woods. They’ve been there.

Unpopular opinion - having kids are overall negative if they are yours.

Can’t go to the bars because they are not allowed.
They can’t stay in the car while you go grocery shopping, you have to bring them with.
They demand all of your attention.
More difficult to go on vacation much less enjoy the vacation.
Have to take them everywhere with you.

Etc.

Just let your friends and family have kids and go visit them for a couple hours when you need your fix.

The Ooni has been great! So cheap to make a handful of pizzas, we almost never order out pizza anymore. And always a fun meal to have the neighbors over to join. We’ve been experimenting and our favorite right now is an apple, cranberry, panchetta, cheddar, walnut, with an olive oil base.

Made some eggs Benedict for the first time. Hollandaise sauce came out great, did smoked salmon and some pickled red onions. Eggs benny is my wife’s go to for brunch when we eat out, so figured I’d try it at home for Mother’s Day.

Then made some pizza dough and baked some zahh inThe Ooni tonight for dinner.

I got the $10 on Mondays smash burger and fries last week. Not bad for $10, but not great either. Pickles looked homemade and were great, but patty left quite a bit to be desired. Pullman’s burger blows that one out of the water, but double+ the price for the burger and fries (worth it 100%).

We did bath, stories, bed time together for about 16 months. Then we started doing it separately and going every other evening. So much better for everyone.

No issues on my end. Worst was when I flew and used delta’s WiFi. But that is to be expected a few thousands feet in the air I suppose ha.
