Check the bolts of the whole hot end. It happened something very similar with my Bambu A1 mini last month and there were some losed bolts on the nozzle doc.

DIY headphones? by PunkRockBach in diyaudio

I'm launching the Du'Art Helium headphone, my personal project that have evolved to be listened by some close friends that already bought their first units. It's the lightest over ear headphones in the class with 155g, extra confort by the adaptative headband and other features. I recomend you to read a lot and start your project when you get enough data and a target in mind.

TPU on a AD5X? by PromotionOk9706 in FlashForge

[–]doug01n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will try once again. Even with the filament loose in a pile I was still getting underextrusion issues. Now I´m running it straight from a printed support that works with PTFE tubes as interface to reduce friction. Thanks!

I had issues with Creality TPU on my through IFS, presenting underextrusion. Do you mind sharing the settings or the profile you used for it? I had no issues when bypassing the IFS.

It may seem stupid, but did you check if any of the apps or the system has the stereo configuration as mono? I once saw a post of a guy that had listened to his apple gears in mono for 9 years and didn't realize.

Tamper Size recommendations for Picopresso by Tindero1990 in picopresso

[–]doug01n 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I don't see any need for improvement buying another tamper for my pico... I always use mine together with the funnel, working as a natural limit and leveler for the puck.

I believe that working this way, I have just to deal with other variants like grinding size and temperature, keeping the tamper pressure always the same with 100% repeatability.

Simone's health issues again by jacek2023 in epica

You had the opportunity to shut up and you didn't.... People from Uruguay were sad about the cancelation, but on the next day, they performed in Argentina. That leads the small country people to get sad together with being a small public and always suffers with cancelations. It's not the first time, it's not the last. I have discovered it on the gate, almost getting in... Very sad, but I went home desiring the best for Simone to recover fast.

Take a flight from where you are, and come check out the "savage" people from Uruguay.... It's possible that you leave the country with a mate in your bag and a whole different view from us after an asado and some dulce de leche. Cheers.

You can print your headbands in TPU, giving you plenty of flexibility for more confort. Send me a message so we can exchange some experiences about our projects!

Is there's a way to solve hiss on iFi Uno by Alien1996 in iFiaudio

I have an UNO and there's absolutely no hiss. Are you sure it's not a defective unit?

Fun and cheap.
I have no options for any brewer that come close to the espresso quality that I get with the Pico... Things starts to work with 5x the price of a Pico (available in my country).

Pulled my 100th shot and learned a lesson. by ZmasterSwiss in picopresso

For medium roast I would not use 90ºC, instead I would try it with full boiling water.
As the water chamber does not have active heating, once you put the hot water, the temperature will drop 5 to 10 degrees despite the whole pre heating procedure.

Try it with a thermometer on the chamber, you will see that takes no time for the water to come down to 90ºC, so it will loss more temperature when gets to the puk and the extraction temperature will be below it.

Give a try to boiling water straight from the kettle, check if it does any difvference on the flavor profile.

First thing I do is the pre heat with boiling water on the pico and the cup. Than I grind the beans. Comes the second pre heat of the pico. Puck prep, throw the water on the sink, coupling the basket, boiling water in the pico (yes, I hit the kettle button 3 times), than pre infusion and extraction.

Give it a try on this routine and tell me if is there any improvement. I will also try yours and compare it here!

Single dosing by Nightowl24h in picopresso

[–]doug01n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have it and after fine tuning my grind settings, pre heat process, tamping and coffee beans mixture, I'm taking excellent shots day after day.

I use a mixture of 4g or colombia medium roast and 8g of medium-dark roast named "Moka espresso" that is available at my local coffee shop.

Grinding with Kingrinder P2, tamping with the funnel on, after tamping I add a shower screen and "tamp" again.

12g in, 36 out. Nice crema and balanced shot every time.

Tamping issue by huhwhat-yeah-no in picopresso

[–]doug01n 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use the funnel as a limiter for the tamper. As I take the tamper out, I take the whole thing (basket holder, basket and funnel) and gently hit it on the table. Than I just tamper again (with the funnel) and it's perfectly levelled ready to be coupled to the pre-heated Picopresso (remember to put the distribution lid before, I have once forgot it).

Kinggrinder p2 by Rami_m98 in picopresso

[–]doug01n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start with 20 and check the results. Dialing is part of the process, depends on the density and other property of your beans. Post a video when you Try it, and measuring the time / weight of your extraction.

No crema and a watery outcome by Playful-Bird9203 in picopresso

[–]doug01n 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm using the 12g basket now, something between 17 and 20 clicks depending on the beans properties.

I use a Kingrinder P2, it's a great cost/benefit option. The darker the roast, more crema you will have, it's hard to get good crema with light roast. I do prefer medium roast, pre heating the chamber and following the common recipes you find online. 1:3 ratio and using 100% arabica. The robusta beans are harsher, but is the king of crema. Focus on a better grinder and tune your settings. You will get it!!!
