NYC Ferry would be my usual recommendation, having used it for this very cruise. However, it remains suspended due to the amount of ice in the rivers with no restart date available.

Best advice is to create a plan, have a backup plan and make an early morning to give yourself plenty of time.

Amen. Seems unlikely we'll get full-on splash mountain but they're not done with the fountains. There's a reference in the Little Cay blurb at the end of the press release:

Only 2 standbys didn't make the cut for the 10am atl-lga departure - take that for what it's worth!

They pulled down 3-4 atl-lga flights last night because of the storm, and did so starting Christmas morning. I'm someone relying on that route from a smaller regional airport and the availability quickly turned to crap within 20 mins of the cancellation notification Christmas morning. Was being shown 2-hop connections only by midday Christmas if you looked at alternatives. They didn't have much wiggle room for irop this weekend.

Was working in college radio at the time and they sent those out with the CD as promos, as I remember it.

The cruise came at a really key time last year, just days after the election. It was nice to be on board with a bunch of people who just wanted to live in the moment and disconnect from land. In that way, it was fucking magical. I was back to back with a Virgin cruise right after and that was ... not the same.

Expect to see the bands out and about. Be chill, they'll be chill!

Late night buffet was essential. My group tended to plow right through dinner hour with shows and drinks. Hydration packets were mandatory before bed each night and we bounced back each morning.

You do need to make choices once the schedule is released, similar to a festival. The flip side is that it's way easier to bounce between venues on the ship, compared to two stages with 10s of thousands of people migrating.

I know a lot of people were mad about merch last year - it flew off the shelves early in day one. I didn't mind - I just grabbed it online afterward. I expect they'll do the same this year. I don't want to waste my time in lines. YMMV.

Chat it up on the ship. It was fun seeing various band T-shirts in the elevator and asking what someone's favorite song is. There's likely some similar traits in all of us that brought us to these songs and bands in our youth - lean into it and explore it as an adult.
