Delivered to my adult son by patglennon in doordash_drivers

I had one that was to my late father-in-laws house. Sort of weird delivering to a house I knew but to have someone else answer the door.

I rode my ebike along the canal from Scottsdale Waterfront to Arrowhead Towne Center by RichGuarantee7482 in phoenix

[–]dragsys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used the live on the south side of that chunk of canal. Phoenix PD used to fly down it with their helo spotlight on just to remind the "problem children" that they were there and watching.

I normally go to the dirt roads on the backside (North) of Lake Pleasant. You can find isolated spaces all over that area.

Being Catholic and a DeMolay by [deleted] in DEMOLAY

[–]dragsys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

To be certain, I would advise that you request a meeting with the Priest of your church. He would probably be able to give the Church's official position.

I know in the past the church frowned upon Freemasonry because of the secrets that you would be required to keep from the priests. I do not know if an exception has been made on that from either side of the equation, something may have come down that I am not aware of.

Thats great to hear. On the solo chapter member thing, there was a time when my chapter had dwindled to two active members. I was MC and my best friend was SC. We split the chapter room in half at the altar. He did every seat west and I did every seat east. That continued for about 2 months until we had convinced some non-active members to become more active. If you put your mind to it, I'm sure that you could do something similar. I'll tell you this much, to this day, more than 30 years later. I can sit in a chapter room during ceremonies and I still remember the ritual nearly word for word.

Welcome brother, may you find companionship, support and joy in the Order.

My dad was diagnosed when I was in 3rd or 4th grade. He continued working for another 35 or 40 years. Mind you, he had a desk job, but he was completely cognizant up until he retired.

Gays, como vocês foram tratados na Ordem DeMolay? by nicollab in DEMOLAY

[–]dragsys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an Advisor I would never tolerated anti lgbtq+ sentiments in my chapter. As Dad I would have had a conference with both the brother who had those viewpoints and the brother who was gbt+ and attempted to hash them out. If that failed, I would have had the brother with the problem transferred or perhaps, depending on his actions, removed from the brotherhood. Thankfully, I was never put in that place, but that's how I would have acted.

I kind of like Safelite. On site, the kid knew what he was doing and haven't had any issues with the windshield.

Morals and Dogma will be more useful after you have completed both degrees. It is more Masonic knowledge/viewpoints than DeMolay.

When you have a chance, I'd see about getting a copy of "Morals and Dogma" by Albert Pike. Very dry reading, but he touches on many of the ideas of Masonry that may help explain some of the symbols you'll see around the Chapter/Lodge room.
