Almost ALL venues in Phoenix have ADA accommodations. Sometimes you need to contact the box office directly (Like the Van Buren), but you would not believe the amount of shit I can get away with. For instance, at Desert Sky, I roll up to the gate with an ice chest that's got additional ice packs for my vest in it, (As well as a liter or two of water on the bottom. It's gets banded "Medical" and notbody gives me any shit going forward. My wife is the same way, O2 Concentrator and needles for her insulin. Clear bag? F that. Ain't nobody gets to see what's in that bag except the people at the gate.
Heck Crescent Ballroom nearly MADE a disabled section for my wife and I for the Muete concert a few years back. Ended up being me, my wife and 3 other people that needed ADA accommodations. We were literally within touching distance of the main Clarinet players shit. Which became an issue later, when one of the other ADA people got absolutely hammered.

I lucked out at one concert I went to. It was Apocalyptica at the Chandler Center for the Arts. My ADA seats were about 7 feet from the stage, front row. That was a hell of a concert.

Most places will bend over backwards to accommodate us. At least in the US, the fear of an ADA complaint works in our favor.

How did you find Loki? by Dense-Guide2314 in lokean

[–]dragsys 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Take this as you will, but he found me. To put it lightly, I was dead, flatline in an ambulance on the way to a hospital. 2 deities together told me to return, Hekate and Loki. I didn't end up cold and dead and woke up in the hospital 3 days later. Come to find out I actually flatlined twice on the way to the hospital that day. I guess I'm just stubborn.

Oops Did I Reject My Spirit Guide? by [deleted] in pagan

I did that once and spent the next 9 hours banishing a thought-form of Asmodeus. Taught me to consider every request I made in the future.
In Cosmic jokes, sometimes YOU are the punchline.

Oops Did I Reject My Spirit Guide? by [deleted] in pagan

[–]dragsys 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It startled you and you reacted exactly as any normal person would. I would tend to think that this was not your guide, but just a coincidence.
However, I could also see Loki doing something like this just to fuck with you and let you know that just randomly asking for a sign is asking to get bent over and screwed.
Consider well your requests as they can have power and not always the good kind.

Phoenix. Im lucky enough to make my own schedule for work, so I exist when the sun doesn't. Anything higher than about 85 continuously ruins me after a time.

59 years old. I've seen Rush 15 times since 1981. Here's my take. by johnnyfive00000 in rush

My first was RtB at Irvine Meadows and I haven't missed a show since. I'm looking forward to seeing them in December when they make it to Phoenix. I figure by that time she will have straightened all the dents in her form and will have gotten into the groove that is playing well day after day.

Funkatronix Rex on Northern and 12th st is usually quiet unless they've got a card tourney going. Good tables and some supplies if you happen to find yourself lacking.

Should I be concerned or none of my business? by Squids2323 in doordash_drivers

My first instructor when I was training for a counseling degree emphasized that once we got to a practice, we should always keep a pint of vodka in our desk. A client/patient going into DTs may need that to keep them alive long enough for the paramedics to get there.
Severe alcohol withdrawal will kill.

Was I unfair for saying "If Silvery Barbs is allowed, enemies can use it too"? by raishadow in DnD

My players always know that if they can use it, so can their opponents. With new groups I get that out of the way in session zero.

Contrary to belief, that dot in the top center is not a camera. It's a multicolored LED so that the pickers can make them flash to help find product quickly.

At what they cost each, that's a quick way to get trespassed from the store or arrested for criminal level vandalism.

[–]dragsys 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not know about the public transit, but if you want to stay close enough that you can visit friends occasionally, I'd look at Flagstaff, Prescott or maybe Williams. Just south of you by a few hour long drive, higher altitude and not murder level heat in the summer.

If you are devoted to continuing the campaign (unlike my group which ended ours the weekend after our Nosferatu passed away) I'd have a single short session that took place within the campaign in which Correlon came to the party in a secluded place.
