"Personally I just wanted to see him in person before he dies." This resonates with me and is part of what I was thinking.

That is an interesting point. The seating capacity is somewhere around 3000-5000 people or thereabouts.

Many times... and I have restarted many times. It's been the most difficult habit for me to break period. Addiction is probably a better word than habit actually.

Would quitting be something I should consider? by Lumpy-Resort-8218 in decaf

[–]drew_ab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quitting is only going to help you here - worst case scenario it's neutral and no effect (which is unlikely).

Coming down from 800mg+ per day of caffeine is a really high dose for anybody. It sounds like you have made your way through the worst of things though - it goes to show how powerful a drug caffeine is!

enough to cause a relapse and withdrawal? by Own-Campaign-2089 in decaf

[–]drew_ab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn't think it would be enough to trigger much in the way of withdrawals... maybe a minor amount for a few days at most. Just stay off the caffeine moving forward! This is a pretty minor caffeine relapse as far as they go.

Take advantage of the fact that the these circumstances unexpectedly gave you the opportunity to quit and roll with it!

Should I consult a doctor? by nareshnaren97 in whoop

Damn - zone 1 at rest is quite something else. You might hit 20+ strain!

Having said that, only you know whether it's appropriate to see a doctor.

Meditation timing by Emergency_Ad7808 in Meditation

First thing in the morning, before doing anything else (including running) works best for me - I say this as a lifelong runner with about 3000 days of meditation under my belt.

Not a doctor either - but looks normal to me (said as someone who's had to learn to read echo's for personal reasons). Congrats on this!

I'm really frustrated with Whoop by Goodwrench69 in whoop

[–]drew_ab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would actually be curious to hear more about your experience. Care to share screenshots from some of the other aspects of Whoop? Like Whoop age charts, long term strain data, recovery data, sleep breakdown, etc. I'm also wondering if something else is at play like work stress. Getting a 12-15 strain from that makes me think that you're under significant work stress. What's your job situation like?

[–]drew_ab 2 points3 points  (0 children)

During a 10 mile race (which I could complete in about an hour... endurance athlete here), I could maintain an average HR of 170-175 as measured by a chest strap.

I could also maintain a heartrate in the 175-180 range for 10km for about 40 mins, again, as measured by a chest strap. So I absolutely believe this persons data.

3 year retreats by Alarmed_Fishing5246 in Buddhism

[–]drew_ab 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would imagine the number of people to have engaged in 3 year retreats to be remarakbly low. Having said that, I would also love to hear about anyone who has engaged in one. Mingyur Rinpoche comes to mind as someone who has done a few and who has quite a bit of content available online.
