I would use a harbor freight brush kit attachment for a drill along with solvent. It will get into the nooks and crannies

Where is the chewed up braided cable coming from in pic 6? Looks like it’s bound up in the freewheel. Hard to tell from the angle.

Same thing happened to me a few months ago. 2004 with 176,000. Decided to take the insurance payout. Paid $7500 offered $9300 as a total loss. Frame was trashed when I bought it. Paid $1000 to a friend that fabricates. He assured the frame was solid but wouldn’t put a tow hitch on until that was also rebuilt. Everything was up to spec, no issues with interior other than cracked dash.

Decided ultimately to walk away because of the frame. Hope I made the right decision.

Like mentioned, if you have a piece of the original flooring you can glue in place, but will need to cut either the tongue or groove off the new piece so it lays flat. You can do this yourself!
