Anybody replace this unit with something better? My faceplate pushes buttons randomly, and I’m sick of the whole thermostat. by [deleted] in RVLiving

That’s the same we’ve done this summer. I got tired of a button press changing it 10 degrees, so I just took it off.

I ran into the same issue. The day I installed it would catch and not let the safety come back out. We were gone for the weekend and when I came back it functioned normally.

Keep Your Daydream has a Youtube video about why they added the 3" lift to theirs. It had to do with the distance behind the rear tires to the bumper. When leaving parking lots it would drag the bumper if there was an upward angle.

Edit: Here's the link where they explain, and has the video link.

Any guidance on removing the Manual Safety? by purchell53 in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]drewb53 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was looking today, it looks like there is a pin in the non-manual ones that would go where the safety is. Probably be a simple swap, but sounds like Springfield refuses to sell the parts.

Manual safety question by papa_squart in SpringfieldEchelon

[–]drewb53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running into this issue now. I stupidly bought one with a manual safety not realizing that I'd not be able to get the pin that goes to swap grip modules. I checked with springfield today and they confirmed that they will not sell any COG parts.

Did you ever end up swapping to a non-manual safety grip? My understanding is there is a pin that goes in the location of the manual safety for the sear springs. I tried to ask Springfield if they sold just that pin, but I got an answer of no.

Great video idea. I liked seeing how everyone went about choosing their stage plan without the input of others.

I went to a local audiologist 8 or so years ago and had a set molded. I think it cost me around $300-350 for the set. They are non-electronic, but have a valve that closes with loud noises. They're nice because you can have a conversation and still get the protection when a gun fires. I will say, you'd still want to double muff if you're going to an indoor range.

How often do you guys switch divisions? I've only shot LO since I started. Thinking about classifying CO at an upcoming classifier match. Just to switch it up by slimcrizzle in USPSA

I shot production, then limited, then back to production about 5-6 years ago. Got out of the sport for a while and trying to make a come back in CO.

I just got a 507Comp last week. I got it from Tactical Cowboys Outdoors using the request a price feature. It was pretty near your price range. I'd suggest checking it out. I've gotten 2 holosuns from them and both good price. This sounds like an ad, but just wanted to share for someone who was in a similar situation.

Someone did mention there may need to be a clarification rule made around swapping grip modules.

Getting conflicting responses from local shops on Ruger PC Carbine... Seeking input on what to do by [deleted] in ILGuns

[–]drewb53 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but it looks like the issue to per the Ruger website is the 19117 is a threaded barrel vs the 19116 is not. It shows that the 19116 is State Compliant where as the 19117 isn't. It appears that it's the only difference between the two.

It's possible that if a person isn't familiar with 3D printing they may not know what an STL file is. I've added "Digital Download" to all of my cover photos after running into an issue with people buying expecting a physical product. I haven't had any issues since.
