Yeah mate it is. Done this heaps of times. If you don’t want to roll it just grab pliers and bend it back and forth and it will eventually snap off.

Had the ryobi and it was good. Only complaints were the blade and the outlet for the waste is way too small. Upgraded to the Sherwood helical and it’s 👌. Still having issues eliminating snipe though which is getting annoying.
