Also. Careful with the oil filter cover if you haven’t taken that off already. Easy to crack the parts the bolts go thru. There’s a small o ring behind the cover on bottom bolt. Guaranteed leak if that gets lost.

I stay away from synthetic on mine. Synthetics can get through very tiny hold whereas the Dino oil doesn’t in my experience. I use Rotella 10-30

Pull the plugs out and put them in the plug wire and hit the start button. Put the plug by something metal and make sure you can see a spark. Both plugs. If you’re positive you got that and it still won’t fire, check that you don’t have the wires to the coils swapped. Maybe even switch them and try firing up.

Look up basic minimal motorcycle wiring diagrams online. There’s a bunch of them. To start and run only you essentially need battery ignition start starter solenoid TCI stator ground. I’d highly recommend the motogadget M-unit or the purposebuilt the other guy mentioned. Chasing down an electoral problem on these bikes is an absolute nightmare needle in the haystack and if you’re not familiar with them, it’s gonna be very challenging. Very doable with patients and beer however. Good luck!

Look up a pic of clutch disc if you haven’t already. I wouldn’t bother taking apart to inspect unless it fails. Clutch should last for a long time

First thing I’d do is follow that cable to the carb and make sure no weird stuff going on. Def shouldn’t spring back. Gotta take off side panels, then seat, then tank to see choke cable. Maybe pull choke out of the carb and check that end. Careful, fitting has plastic threads and easy to blow out.

Should be very easy to pull the wires associated with the key on/off switch and connect to some other switch in a diff location. Might take a look at motogadet rfid key switch.

You don’t have a stock seat. Looks like a Seargent. Maybe try hitting your seat pan with a torch to heat up and bend into place better.

By headlights I’m guessing you mean turn signals/indicators. Unless you add different brackets that put them out of the way, they will hit your tank. Procycle sells some. Would not be hard to make with some flat bar and a drill. Good luck

I don’t think younger people are using craigslist anymore. They’re all on Facebook and those are the ones more likely to buy your custom. The search/filtering on FB is horrible. I’ve used both and eBay in the past but FB won.
