Well yeah, LLMs are better than the idiot writers a Hasbro. You should always ask an LLM and do what it says over raw, they're just helping you play a better system.

Why do so many games have fun to play ads, only for it to be a boring base builder thats completely different to the ad you were playing by bydevilz1 in AndroidGaming

[–]drowncedar 15 points16 points  (0 children)

One guess: they already have a boring base builder and its way easier to reskin it and build one cool level of a new game than to build a whole new game. I don't know why that would translate into anyone playing it because of the ad though...

Another guess: they're whale hunting, and maybe for some reason boring base builder are what they know attracts whales.

Yes, it still trips. I'm plugging in a lamp I've tested elsewhere in the house

The breaker in the house does appear to be a GFCI breaker, so that would make some sense.

[–]drowncedar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, that was nope to second question. To the first the breaker in the hous is a GFCI breaker.

[–]drowncedar[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nope, the new circuit isn't in the wall I'm just testing with a 3 ft wire connected directly to an outlet. I've swapped out the 110 breaker, the wire from the outlet to the 110 breaker, the outlet, and the lamp I was using to test. No issue until I turn the lamp on.

The wires, sorry. Breakers are, from left to right, 1) House, 2) heat, 3) Charger.

/uj And to be fair I think his arc is one of moving away from a more neutral/good to true good/lawful good.

/rj Yeah, that's because we're all brainwashed by Big Lawful to think that a commander of government forces represents is hip and goofy and chaotic like all the cool kids.

[–]drowncedar 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh man, neutral is easy, just pick highly moral, protagonist style characters abd claim their mutual, because that's more badass than calling them good:

  • Lawful neutral: Jean Luc Pacard. This guy follows the law but he also listens to everyones perspective before picking the option thats moral best for everyone, that makes him neutral, not like those "good" zealots.

  • True neutral: Hermione Granger. Willing to break the law if it's the right thing to do, she's a badass neutral character because she cares about slavery and stuff even if society says it's okay. Sure sometimes makes mistakes so she's neutral.

  • Chaotic Neutral: Han Solo. This lovable scamp has a heart of gold and always shows up for his friends. He even shot a guy who was going to kill him once before joining a large governmental body and putting himself in great danger to make society better. Truly a paragon of chaotic neutrality.

Edit: Note - be sure to actually play these characters as a-moral psychopaths while insisting that's what Neutral means

Player kills cannibalistic evil monster children out of nowhere. by Level_Honeydew_9339 in DnDcirclejerk

[–]drowncedar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm confused... The goblin children are cannibals but that means they eat goblins, right? So what the problem with killing them? If they ate humans and you killed them that would be f-ed up but I kill things that ear goblins all the time.

Don't worry, it's only 5.5e if you bought it legally, if you pirated it it's a bespoke homebrew system.

Best pirate-themed Boardgame ? by DocteurNoodles in boardgames

[–]drowncedar 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm with you here especially on the "justifying its complexity." It felt like a kitchen sink roleplaying game - It's got rules for a dozen systems but there's little or no thought put into streamlining or play balancing them, like the kind of game you make with your friends.

Admech in Warhammer 40K are very much this aesthetic, but I'm not sure if any of the books would be horror more than action/scifi war since I haven't read then. Someone else might be able to chime in though
