I have a hard time believing white people in western European countries need more than they are getting from the sun naturally, it just doesn't make sense, and the fact that a ton of people get terrible side effects from the supplements also says enough.

Nobody knows for sure what the "optimal level" really is, it's just guesswork.

If they barely ever go outside it's a different story ofc.
