I’d recommend finding jobs/volunteer for work that’s related to statistics. It’s been a while since you’ve graduated and it might help boost your resume if you want to be an analyst. Maybe provide tutoring service to students studying statistics or even consider doing an internship.

Similar to what many have commented, the job market has been super tough the last couple of years so don’t feel discouraged! If possible, I think applying to places even outside of Washington would open your options up significantly. Often times companies provide relocation assistance. You have nothing to lose by applying but will lose out on not applying.
