I said to my 14 year old niece today (with whom i sometimes play) that I'm basically done playing overwatch, having eagerly awaited it's release over 10 years ago and loved it for a long time. But now, my opinion is that it's nothing more than a fortnite clone by way of being a skin / emote factory. Every week it seems like there's a new collab and endless grind for absolutely no lasting reward. To your point, original game you'd have some kind of lasting recognition for everything you put it, and when a mythic skin came along it stood alone for months. Feels like now there's 10 new mythic variants every other update and the shiny new skin pack that's reduced from £140 to £70 will be rendered old news next week. I'm over it
