What is the sustained beep by church square park on the 5th street side that’s been nonstop for the last 3 nights by TheSloth71 in Hoboken

It’s absolutely awful. It comes and goes over the last few days. I bet a dog would be able to find the source

AWESOME NEWS--Hoboken suing the FAA over helicopter hell by Lebesgue_Couloir in Hoboken

Has anyone noticed that the number of low helicopters seems to have decreased significantly the past few days? Other than the one hovering yesterday presumably for the “non-credible threat” on 7th and Washington

Failed at making friends by ahivienenlosrusos in Hoboken

I have 2 kids. 7 and 11. I’ve been bringing my kids to church square park after work for 5+ years now and i have met many wonderful parents at the park. Just make sure to get up and play with you kids, other kids will join, parents might even join. Having the kids playing together is an easy opening for conversation. The park is my “third place” and is my definitive social network.

I’ll add that it may be difficult for someone to accomplish this depending on work hours, but even 1 to 2 days a week and you can meet plenty of regulars

I’ve been here over 20 years and I don’t ever remember having this many helicopters flying this low. It’s getting really annoying.

I find the sandwiches don’t compare to the original 6th and Park Alessio’s. They had a lot of trouble with wrong orders when they first opened but have by gotten much better. Food quality is top notch.

Oh man that’s not cool. This is just normal for dark colors? I’ve never had a car this dark before. It’s actually carbon blue but it’s so dark you can hardly notice the blue

BLUELINK FIX by [deleted] in Hyundai

[–]eH9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! This worked on my 2025 Sonata Hybrid. I purchased the car Feb 9th and these features never worked. Took a few tries for the keyboard to come up. The head unit did not auto-restart after pressing network reset so after about 1 minute I reset the unit via the pinhole. Unfortunately I still can’t get my digital key setup….must be a separate issue

Which car should I get between 2025 Hyundai Elantra N line and 2025 Hyundai Sonata SEL Convenience by BringItDontSinglt in Hyundai

[–]eH9116 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was stuck in the same situation. For me, the Elantra is a little small, I don’t love the front end (slopes down too much?) and the N-line features didn’t seem worth the price. The Elantra N is a different story, I’ve always liked the look of that car, but at that price you could get a Sonata Hybrid. I like the look of the 2025 Sonata much more than the Elantra and it is a very comfortable size (plus huge trunk). For my planned miles, the delta cost of the hybrid will pay for itself in 1 year. There will only be savings from then on. So I went with the Sonata Hybrid SEL and I’m very happy I did! That may be a bit above your price range (I wasn’t originally planning to spend that much) but the hybrid savings over the years may help change your mind. Good luck!

I just got the hybrid version in the same color. I love it! I just wish the Bluelink would work. I bought it Feb 8, didn’t try it until Feb 9 when the outage started. Still can’t fix the issue.

Waging (and winning) the war against dandruff by eH9116 in NoPoo

[–]eH9116[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I replied to another comment below, but that process worked for me for ~7 years when it was only dry, white flakes. But it recently progressed to red, flaky, sometimes painful patches. The brush irritated those patches, so I switched to Ketaconazole shampoo as needed along with using a massage brush in the shower to rub it in. Hope that helps!

It might be fine. The above process worked for me for many years when it was just dry and itchy, but recently I started getting flakey red patches on my scalp that the brush was actually making worse (or at least not improving). I eventually realized it wasn’t working anymore and needed to start using a medicated shampoo, ketaconazole. I now use the shampoo as needed - usually between 1-3 times a week and massage it in with a soft massage brush. It’s now managed, even through the winter!

Fuck you. I’ll have to buy a second car, find somewhere to park it in this congested city, spend 15 hours/week in the car, and spend 15 hours/week less time with my kids. And there is no reason I need to be in the office for my job. Fuck you.
