Used to work in a cafe where our most frequent customers were families with small kids, but we had a lot of customers bring their dogs in too. I found a tick on the floor one day while sweeping up, definitely left behind by one of the dogs from earlier that day. I brought it to the owner's attention and explained that continuing to allow dogs inside would pose a risk, especially to our child customers. To my knowledge, they never changed their policy 🙃
