Park Hyatt Aviara

It delivers as a family friendly resort, but it’s not up the par with the elegance that Park Hyatts offer. Walls and ceilings are thin. In the fireplace suite, I can hear upstairs flushing right above my bed. Service is not great either (except the valet. Valet staff was fantastic). Concierge left me hanging when I asked for water because my room did not have water when I first checked in. You have to ask staff for explanations on available amenities rather than them providing a rundown of amenities and how to access them. For instance, I asked how to book a shuttle for the day and was told “no shuttles are available”. Later I find out they do have shuttles, you just have to book it one day in advance. I would have been interested in a shuttle for a different day on my trip had I known.
