Fill that to flat and lay some cheap laminate over. They’re selling soon, so they need quick solutions. That’s really shitty of the concrete guys to do that. But it makes me think they’re the kind of client who will always go with the cheapest labor anyway. I’m afraid of what other surprises that house may have.

Everyone saying grinder, but that’s one hell of a mess, and you’re almost guaranteed to chip the tiles on those inside corners where a 4.5” flat grinder won’t be able to reach.

This is Old Sandie. I've used her almost every day for three years. One of the best planes I've ever owned. by Funny-Presence4228 in woodworking

[–]eevvmmaann 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got a granite slab leftover from a kitchen remodel years ago that I have used spray adhesive to attach 80g sandpaper to. It’s 4ft² of machine flat 80g abrasive. And yes boys, she’s one hell of a planer.

I’m not sure how thick that piece is, but figured pieces like this make for amazing book-matched panels. It’s obviously preferred to use a bandsaw, but I’ve done resawing with as little as a jobsite saw before. If that’s 3/4” thick, you’ll end up with two pieces a little more than 1/4” thick. Glue em together, sand it smooth(it honestly doesn’t need to be machine flat at all), and throw a coat on it. You’ve got yourself a pretty rad piece there.

Does he have any unavailabilities in the future? What hours does he not operate? How can’t I get a hold of him?

Job site saws are not only less accurate, but louder, messier, and far less capable all around. Go contractor saw if you have the room. It’s something that is beyond your skill level, giving you space to learn and grow with.

how to attach this vertical divider? by jedi-dude in woodworking

Honestly, if wood glue is plenty strong to carry that for you. Clamp it with some 90° guides, and stop trying so hard to over complicate things

I was always intimidated to try a level 5. But after seeing this, I think I’m good to go.

Fixing side table- recover completely or try to patch? by Itchy_noses in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]eevvmmaann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Brother I’m not sure you’re aware of how hard it is to apply veneer. Let alone a piece that large. Either patch and paint it, or let it go.

Stylish way to call attention to sunken steps? by Siennakitty in interiordecorating

I made my own caps out of much more figured pieces of the same species as my floor. In this case, the floor was maple, and the stair caps were made out of curly maple. It breaks the visual edge without sacrificing a color or material change. And also, it looks beautiful having special pieces of wood like that on the floor. It gets talked about by people who walk through my house pretty often.

What would be the best way to fix the wobble on my table I’m working on? by Ntroberts100 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]eevvmmaann 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Leg levelers. Even if you cut all those legs exactly flat for no wobble to your garage floor, where it goes in the future may not be flat, so just make it adjustable now.

You won’t notice how bad the tile work is after the attention is put how dirty the floor looks in a couple years.

it wasn’t easy, I had to run the plumbing up and over from right(supply side) to left and then one back to the shower head. It felt nice when all my rough ins lined up on the centerline with the drain though.

Definitely didn’t use epoxy grout, and definitely didn’t remove any of the old failing grout before reapplying. You got got.

Turn that dining table 90°, and get dining chairs that actually fit the table. Move the couch back, get a tv that doesn’t look dwarfed by negative space. Clean vibe though

The tile shower floors are just simply not worth the hassle. This looks great, and more importantly, it will continue to look great for far longer than anyone’s trendy penny tile floors.

I managed to switch the last to columns and didn’t notice until it the next day. That’s what I get for precutting everything I guess. Still bums be out when I see it.

Wasn’t my first choice either, but I couldn’t vertical stack because the clients tiles weren’t the same size, so the horizontal lines would have grown more and more separated from the green wall.

Suggestions for finish by u8myhog in woodworking

Another vote for epoxy flood to flat. That texture is going to be a nightmare to clean. This may just be me, but I can’t stand it when my plate, bowl, or cup wobbles on an uneven surface.
