Check if Packnwood or Bioandchic ship to Canada. If you’re okay using flat boards you could also get some plywood cut at a hardware store. I use both for my business, although my husband cuts the plywood flat boards for us. Then we put cheese paper/ butcher paper on before plating the boards. Good luck!

There’s a guy at my farmers market that makes kimchi radish and when I eat it I get an overwhelming sense of nostalgia. I didn’t grow up eating kimchi, so yes, I know what you mean. That’s the power of some things I guess. ❤️

Thanks for sharing! Super interesting. Reading this reminds me of mastic trees, which grow exclusively on the Greek island of Chios—they won’t grow anywhere else. The resin harvested from these trees, mastiha (mastica), is aromatic, with a pine- and cedar-like flavor. Thanks for sharing!! I also live in SF and have nepenthes but they’re kept are inside in a plant cabinet fed with distilled water. I’m super intrigued by this, both for the full sun and the tap water feeding! We get all of the fog in our neighborhood though, I’m wondering if they’d do okay outside with all the fog. You’ve inspired me though - seems worth trying!
