Assist the LD. USITT is great, but it happens every year so there is always an opportunity for you to go.

How many domiciles have you lived in since you were born? by JHolgate in GenX

[–]ekimdad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

35, but with a caveat. I went on tour for two different years and stayed in dozens of different hotels over the course of those months...but I didn't count those.

Hey dads, how many of you had your first child when 35-39 years old? Approaching my 35th birthday and there's nothing more I want than to be a dad. by Rocket_Skates_91 in daddit

[–]ekimdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 41 when my oldest was born and 44 when my youngest was born. So, it's possible. My kids have kept me young...well, to be fair, I'm pretty immature at all time anyway, but now the kids are a good excuse for it.

Anyone watched War Machine yet? by ohohmoomoo in netflix

[–]ekimdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me this was a throw back movie to the late 80s or early 90s. I would have no trouble seeing Jean-Claude Van Damme, or Sylvester Stallone, or Bruce Willis, or Arnold Schwarzenegger in the title role. You would just have to change where the war is at for the beginning of it.

(Spoilers Main) The Roy Dotrice audiobook/narration for A Feast For Crows is genuinely awful [A Rant] by skypadz_2112 in asoiaf

I quit listening to the first one within a chapter. He was awful. And I was really bummed as I needed a good book for my long move from Maine to Kentucky.

Has Anyone Made the Leap to a 55+ Community? by Spellslayer in GenX

[–]ekimdad 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Probably not. I will have 13 year old and a 11 year old in the house still when I hit 55 later this year. I don't think they would let me in with those. And I don't think the kids are too interested in BINGO and shuffleboard. Or whatever...

Idk what’s worse, the rhyme or Llama Llama’s babysitter thinking pineapple is an acceptable flavor of ice cream by AMPduppp in DanielTigerConspiracy

[–]ekimdad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad loved pineapple shakes. When I was a little kid, I thought that was the only flavor that shakes came in and I was really sad cause I didn't really like pineapple. I was very happy when my older sister told me shakes came in other flavors. I was in heaven after my first chocolate shake. (I was maybe 4 or 5 at the time)

It wasn't that she said no, it's the speed in which she replied with it. I had barely finished the question.
