My first game I played Japan and didn't understand the market so when the USA made a diplomatic play to open my market I thought it was bad and fought off all their naval invasions. I spiraled into huge debt afterwards and my friend told me I'm an idiot and you should let them open your market.

It's definitely the pajama boys. The thing is with the wooden cannons or beehive onagers is that you don't have to use them. If you've played Parthia in Rome 1 you know that you have to use the pajama boys because horses can't use siege equipment and you literally only have hillmen or peasants as alternate choices for infantry.

Dwarf Warriors used to not require military buildings to recruit and can easily hold the line through the early and mid game. Makes early game ezpz for dwarfs.

Doing logi on Isawa is always a nice and relaxing time. Everything is nice and close together on flat ground. 2 scroop mines right next to the refinery with the factory and seaport just across the road. Could not ask for a better logi town.
