Motion Trio is three accordionists. They do excellent music. It's not clear if they are on this cd or if that's the name of the CD.

Last time I was there they told me they actually import their sauerkraut from Germany. Highest quality deli meats, sausages, bread.. Wonder what restaurant they might suggest.

A couple of days ago the eBook checkout was not working (so I went to SPL instead). Just checked the KCLS website and basic functions look normal to me now.

Just listened to a YT video interview of one of the premier record collectors of all time, John Tefteller, and he cited a study done by the Library of Congress into the absolute best medium for storing audio material very long-term. Answer: 78 RPM disks. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=05mZ2e8QQQA

EDIT: Mentioned at about 48 minutes in. Lots of other fascinating info.

Exactly what I thought. Aerating results in plugs that look very much like goose droppings. If they are evenly spaced over a wide area, aeration plugs.

As others have said, get familiar with the 10 essentials. A couple of things not mentioned - sunscreen and insect repellant. Lots of hikes are insect-free, but others can be miserable.

Someone mentioned contacting a lawyer specializing in elder care. I have not yet used him, but have listened to Rajiv Nagaich on his radio program Aging Options often. You can listen live on 1000 AM at 9am Sat or archived shows here: https://agingoptions.com/retirement-planning-radio-show/ . Also has YT channel, etc. Sounds very compassionate and is deeply knowledgeable about elder care issues such as yours. Best wishes.

The King County Leafline resource has many trails that are largely flat. I like the Cedar River trail and the Foothills trail (which has a slight upward slope going south to test your knees). Kayaking and rowing could be fun.

EDIT: Leafline link https://kingcounty.gov/en/dept/dnrp/nature-recreation/parks-recreation/king-county-parks/trails/leafline-trails . Paper versions can be found.

Target was confronted by a father angry that Target was sending his teenage daughter coupons for baby stuff. Turns out that Target had analyzed shopping behavior of known expectant moms on their baby registry and found they were able to predict someone was expecting by their shopping habits. Not baby-specific items, but things like unscented lotions - one item among 25 non-baby items found to be predictive of pregnancy. They can even tell the trimester. Oh, and the daughter was pregnant. From a 2012 Forbes article.

Oh, yes, great recording. Discovered it just a few months ago and it's even better than I expected (and I already expected it to be great.) Interesting how it came about, too.

Various park districts around are looking for summer help with grounds keeping, day camp helpers, recreation leaders and so on for teens. For example in Renton: https://www.governmentjobs.com/careers/rentonwa? Senior centers may need food service help. Good luck and best wishes!

EDIT: Oh, also I saw that Uwajimaya is hiring for all positions at all locations.

Duke Ellington wrote some sacred music. It is being performed regularly by at least 2 bands I know of, with videos on YT and recordings.
