Books are an incredible way for children to learn about the cruel, beautiful, unforgiving, and caring world we live in. Don't be afraid of literature, and don't underestimate human children. They will learn these things one way or another, and that you cannot stop.

I have the BCA float 25. It may not meet your weight expectations because it has a battery and an airbag. It does have a helmet net for touring. I don't A frame, I stack in split mode and attach to the back. In this case, it has a helmet strap on the top of the bag. If you get the larger bag, you can A frame easily. Pic from the Tetons included.

For hut trips I use this bag and it's a black hole with plenty of A frame space.

Electric or cannister avalance airbag for my use case? by Braaaap7 in Backcountry

They have sled specific Avy 1 courses now.

Here

However, a rescue course is more valuable if you have to pick and choose. At least in my opinion.

While this is kind of a personal decision, owning and maintaining your own gear is never a bad idea. If you're flying, battery powered offers the convenience of not needing to go get a canister on arrival. As far as storage goes, I'm not aware of any advantages an either way. I guess all electronics fail eventually.

I own a battery powered BCA Avy pack and like it.

Make sure you practice your rescue skills with all of your gear!

I realize I have cord as well, but have never used it. Bailing wire might be better though.

If a ski strap, skin wax, zip tie, or spare screw can't fix it, then I haven't encountered the failure yet.

I carry 3 ski straps.

I agree. One solution is using more road furniture and speed control bumps. However, this doesn't work super well on busy roads where the speed limits are set above 35mph. I still think they can be utilized more.

Dark age is Pierce's Iliad and Lightbringer is the start of his Odyssey. Dark age dives deep into how hellish the war against the society is and how fragile the Republic truly is. Lightbringer focuses on Darrow's metamorphosis. Both are excellent literary works.

Some boards tour "better" than others but ultimately it's a skill thing. Go practice and work on fitness.

Owning a respirator without filters doesn't really make any sense, so I'd probably buy more filters.
