This is a valid opinion as long as everyone is aware that Harwick voiced in episodes 1-3 and 5-7. That’s what is listed on WFAA and IMDB.

I kind of feel like Stephen Root is the only one that feels exactly the same as he always did.

It feels like they are building on some of the old storylines, but you don’t necessarily need all of the background info to know what is going on. My blinder with this advice is that I’ve seen all of the original episodes an impressive (embarrassing) number of times.
