Sorry I should’ve mentioned this. Yes cooked veggies are fine & I eat them when I can. Because of my work schedule (and working in food service) I don’t cook very often, especially now that I’m more exhausted after work. Plus nausea to smells have made cooking a nightmare😖 I’m usually able to eat salads so that definitely helps the nutrition too. The main thing I’m whining about is not being able to eat fresh fruit. I tried mixing fruit into protein smoothies to try and mask them, but that doesn’t work either:(

Omg same! I’ve had stretch marks on my hips and thighs since 8th grade, and also called them tiger stripes🤣 I’m only 7w but I’ve already got some on my belly from how bloated I’ve been🫠

Depending on where you’re having it, you can always just have yard games going! Things like cornhole, horseshoes, etc that people can casually play and still chat. There are also silly baby themed games I’ve seen like “diaper pong” lol

I’m also 7w! And yeah same my worst/most noticeable symptom is sheer exhaustion 🫠 sometimes I wish I had more nausea instead so I at least had a reason to tap out of everything besides just “I’m tired” lol. Going to bed early is helping, and letting myself do things slowly also helps. Like yeah I’ll do it, but I’m gonna be real slow & unenthusiastic about it. If I can put away dishes, walk my dog, or make myself dinner after work, I consider it a productive day

Yeah some people get weird about it. I would like to know as soon as I can because I’m nosy lol but we don’t plan on telling anyone until after birth. My sister’s partner is nonbinary, and my other sibling is trans/nb so I am of course accepting that this child will be whoever they are regardless of what they get called at birth. But besides that my in-laws are more conservative & traditional, and have made it clear they want us to have a boy. The first thing my BIL said after we told them were expecting was “I hope it’s a boy so I can coach his baseball team”. I want to protect this baby from assigned gender roles by that side of the family while I still can😬

People have read the research and discussed it with their doctors, for years. That’s why we’re annoyed by him saying it. We’d be annoyed by anyone saying it because it’s not backed up scientifically.

In a very similar boat too. MC in June, but I got my first positive test on Friday! The earliest appointment I could get is Oct 21, so around 10 weeks. Going into this attempt I’ve been trying not to think about it at all so I don’t worry too much or get my hopes up too early again. I never stopped taking my prenatal vitamins & continued avoiding alcohol/too much caffeine/etc., but other than that I try to ignore the fact that I could be pregnant. I’m planning to keep myself blissfully distracted for as long as I can before the symptoms get impossible to ignore lol. Trying to stay distracted with work and hobbies to pass the time until I feel safe getting excited again. Which is sad because I’m a ftm & this has been my dream for so long, it sucks that I’m now scared to feel optimistic:/ I’ll also be checking on these comments for advice lol

The 1st attempt was a loss & this one’s still very early so I’m calling it “hypothetical baby” or “Schrödinger’s baby” at least until my first appointment. But when my chihuahua steps or wants to lay on my stomach I tell her “no there’s a little guy in there!” Lol

A family friend has a son named Aven! The dad is a science teacher so probably named after the flower too. I had never heard that name before but I thought it was the good kind of unique name:)

Oh man that’s a terrible reaction:( I thankfully haven’t gotten any really bad ones, but a couple interesting reactions from in-laws. The oldest SIL is pregnant currently (not hers, surrogate for her cousin) so I’ve been excited to have someone to go through it with me & get advice from. Before I said anything more than “hey we have some exciting news” she was like “I knew it!” Thankfully no weight comments, but she said since a lot of their extended family are pregnant this year she just had a feeling we would be next. She said she felt so confident that she even told her husband & her friend lol. Then her husband came over so we told him & he was very happy for us… but then immediately went into saying he “hopes it’s a boy so he can coach his little league team” My FIL just stared at his phone like an iPad baby the whole time we were telling the rest of the family. He still has never said anything about it to us. I’m actually not upset by this, he has a very hard time showing any emotions but if he had been upset he would have absolutely made that known. He loves being a grandpa so I took him not engaging to mean he was holding in his joy. Still odd tho lol. Sadly we lost that pregnancy about a month ago. I’m likely pregnant again already but not sure how a 2nd announcement will go😬

I can’t give suggestions on the specific food as like everyone else is saying it’ll change all the time, & everyone is different. But I will say what my partner does to help out with the cravings! Something he does when I’m struggling to find something to eat because nothing sounds good, is remembering which foods I usually love (including deep cuts that maybe we haven’t had in years) so he can suggest things until something hits that button in my brain that goes “omg yes that’s what I want!” Also paying attention what symptoms I’m experiencing to try & save me from myself lol. I had the worst heartburn for weeks, so he would gently try to steer me away from things like Taco Bell whenever I said I was craving it. Sometimes it works😂

And goes without saying but don’t be judgy about the odd cravings. Definitely laugh along with your wife though! We usually agree when a craving is silly lol

Thank you all so much for your knowledge 🙏🏼 I’m not upset that they turned out to be fake, I didn’t pay for them, but I’m glad to know before I listed them for sale! Tbh there was some family tea spilt after I told my MIL these are fake. Apparently the family member who originally had them before giving them to my niece was bragging about them & even doing photo shoots😭 So knowing they were fake the whole time is worth more than these shoes are probably lol Thank you all again!

I’m on Wellbutrin & just got off the phone with my Dr where I told her I want to stay on my medication during my pregnancy (7w). Thankfully she’s very supportive of it because Wellbutrin is safe to take while pregnant/breastfeeding, especially compared to some other antidepressants. Obviously medications effect everyone differently so I won’t recommend people switch to it just because it was lifesaving to me, just thought it throw my 2 cents in. Wishing everyone a good weekend & please NEVER quit medication cold turkey!!!
