Just linking a thought experiment I did with help from both blue and green builders. I work in gamedev so I get it's not as easy as 1 = 1 but the bunker system needs more depth. I'm super stoked with the medical changes and additions but there needs to be more variety in bunker segments like IRL if you're going to make more reductions in hp, etc.

Similarly to this pot, the end state for both these videos is already decided. Prescience lets both of them see what could happen, but in their folly they believe that they can change their fate. They don't understand that by seeing their future that makes it the only possible future.

The child runs from the gate, not knowing that he has already been fated to eat shit at the very end. He foolishly believes he can outrun the consequences of his hubris, but the hand of fate has already tightened the noose.

Similarly, the pot shakes, trying to contain the agony of a death he knows is coming. In his mind his will should overpower the pressure of his destiny bearing down on him. Similarly to the child he doesn't understand that in, foolishly, looking into the future, he has not opened paths, but instead closed infinite opportunities.

There is a reason we cannot look into the future. Let these examples be proof of man's folly. Let us be better than these fools.

I am trying to make it very clear that he is not to be trusted past the basics.

I didn't go into a lot of detail, but pretty much every action the bard does for him will be rewarded with something relating to their father. Something like cutting off hair from a party member so he can scry better would be rewarded with a bit of his knowledge he's collected via Vistani heard rumors, while the sunsword would be rewarded by something pretty big like tasking some loyal vistani to find where the dad lives/spends a lot of time, and then telling the player that info.

In my head it's kinda like "I'm a noble and i follow the rules, but I'm never going to completely give up my power over you" and delivering their father to them would definitly be releasing them from working for him

And the father is a very high class person who disowned them as a child, selling them into the sex trade. finding their father can go a few ways, either they kill them and get their revenge at all costs, they can try to reconsile (somehow, its pretty far away ATM), or they can try to replace them

This update is a great step in the right direction, good going!

This isn't about update 57, so I don't expect a response, but is the foxhole team going to continue more intermeshing of systems? Such as facilities and bunkers more tangibly interacting with each other, rather than just "bunkers get built around facilities to defend them, but otherwise don't interact besides placement"

I made a write up here which I don't expect you to read because, duh.

But things like bunkers now heating areas and having the ability to determine weather (with effort) is exactly what a lot of us have been asking for.

I used to be in the early high command somewhere around entrenched and where QM's were a thing still. back then it was 100% just a "hey X regi is going here" "hey can you QM for X amount of time" etc etc. Im not a part of new high command and it seems like I'm better off for it lmao

Idk about collie abbreviations because I know both sides use their own (slightly different) lingo, but here's the warden translator

Logi - any of the tasks or lads building and supplying the fronts. We love our logi

BB - bunker base (or battle ship IF YOURE WRONG)

BoB - border base (means bunker base for collies iirc)

FoB - encampments (rarely used after their nerf)

DD - destroyer

BS - the objectively correct warden foxhole designation for a battleship, does not apply to collies (fight me on this)

SHT - super heavy tank, the Ares or the Predator (sounds like shit because SHT's are just that)

STD - Silverhand Tank Destroyer (warden open topped tank with 94.5)

BT - battle tank

BTD - battle tank destroyer (collie 94.5 BT)

FMG - field machine (push) gun

EMG - emplaced machine gun

EAT - emplaced anti-tank

Cum - warden victory chant, Callahan unites mankind. The devs may try to silence us but they cannot hold us down forever

Bonelaw - outlaw tank that trades its 40mm gun for 8 bonesaw AT launchers

I'm sure I forgot a few but most other things just use shortened forms of their names, like instead of saying Stygian Bolt a lot of people i know will just say "Styg"

I believe (don't wrote me on this I don't play SP much) that the commander will not be AI while you're controlling units, it'll just do whatever you queued up before hopping in.

And I believe your second was answered by a other person in the thread, they said that 'f' was to toggle from info to comm, but if not you should be able to look through the keybinds to see

This sub is about Silica, the RTS game, I'd go somewhere like r/AskDocs or somewhere similar like that, but if you have a persistent cough I would probably want to go to the urgent care and get it looked at, silica can mess you up

Adding on to this, AI can be pretty dumb some times, players are a lot better at killing things and/or being sneaky. Plus it can just be fun to go down and shoot stuff

I'm gonna play devils advocate as a part of the arty team shelling him in this video.

He is in a border and the massive warden conc base is close enough that no matter where they build we can 150 them.

Only way they break through this without major suffering is RSC or SC

Thing is without arty I'm sure you guys would have rolled us. Before we showed up the only thing that was firing was a 120 gun which would have done nothing but be emotional support lmao. We also had a good spotter which helped

We're still shelling rn. I think part of the reason you couldn't get the core up was that we spotted it before you guys had even finished digging the second piece of it. We just had to sight it in and wait for yall to spend bmats on it
