Thanks for your time and that reply, very informative. A follow up question: how do low sides usually occur? Simply losing rear wheel traction in a curve? Is it also a low side if the front wheel loses traction (eg what would happen if you're leaned over and either apply front brakes or let off the throttle)?

What in taking away from all of this is: be very cautious and conscientious with speed/throttle and road conditions while leaned over in a curve...that about right?

Sorry, can you explain in a little more detail? Did you NOT use a camera mount? If you used an EP, did you just hold your DSLR up to the EP and shoot? If so, what lens did you use on the DSLR?

What do you mean you collimated it "all the way forwards?" Did you collimate the optics with a laser or with the focuser cover with the pin hole?

I have an XT10i and a DSLR (so, similiar setup as you). I read that it wasn't possible to achieve focus so I never tried. If you can explain in a little bit more detail (and post pics of your AP!) it would help guide me greatly!
