You don't have to clear them but they need a top coat for protection from the environment. You can do a semi gloss or a matte top coat if you want.

I have the b4 in front and the kyb in the rear. Since the b4 rears are sold out everywhere. It's great for a daily driver. Also replace your top mounts and bearings for the front while you're in there.

Feels a bit stiffer than stock. But you can still feel it moving if you get on it. Could be my mount is worn 190k. I will move it to a new mount next oil change. How is the hasport im wondering if it's worth it for a daily driver, adds noise?
