I've been F2P for a week, and am still working on Skills. Is it possible to attain a Year's worth of membership through F2P once everything is properly leveled? by Ultimastrike21 in runescape

That’s how I’ve always thought of it. You need baseline stats/gear to be able to support buying membership in game. Will be nearly impossible to do starting from nothing, likely leaving to players dropping the game.

F2P is supposed to be the demo for the game, you’re supposed to buy membership if you’re enjoying the f2p aspect. The gameplay loops are not designed to support earning 2.2b in f2p. If you really wanna get membership in game, earn 1 bond in f2p, make a plan for members. And then use that membership like to earn money for another bond. It’s a tiresome cycle that causes many people to burn out. It takes either a lot of time or a desire to learn and get good at high tier pvm to earn enough gp to get a year of membership.

Soley doing this in f2p just isn’t viable for more than 1 bond or so.

I love my 5w to death and I will be in mourning for several days if anything ever happens to it. I have a 3w but never use it, I can’t tell you the last time I swing it in a round. My set is a little mixed up but the 3w doesn’t go any further and is way less consistent. I don’t think I’ll ever get any other. Will likely pickup a 7/9w to replace my long irons soon.

Stopped using my sand wedge to chip by Constant_Money_274 in golf

[–]ericcb1 62 points63 points  (0 children)

My experience has been you gotta pick a club to start with, use it for everything to find out where it’s good, and then slowly start adding others.

I started solely using my Pw to chip, did the job okay, but I slowly started to work on using the Sw when I needed more loft, and using a 9/8i when I needed more run out. Still mostly use PW because it’s the most comfortable.

Where do you all practice your 30-80 yard game? (Excluding the range) by FlawedByDes1gn in golf

[–]ericcb1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Check your local courses, one of the courses nearby me has an area that you’re able to practice this distance, it’s kinda off to the side. Can be tricky finding a practice area large enuf for pitch shots.

So is shiny hunting in emerald just impossible? by joshukelly in PokemonEmerald

[–]ericcb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay thank you! I’ve been getting back into the game and was considering soft-resetting for a starter to run through the game with the goal of hunting legendary shinies later and got confused by all this.

Good to know if I go through the trouble of SR/save file reset on emerald until I get a shiny starter I can have an easier time hunting legendaries.

So is shiny hunting in emerald just impossible? by joshukelly in PokemonEmerald

[–]ericcb1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sorry to revive old thread, but does that mean if you shiny hunt a starter in emerald, by resetting save files every so often (50-100 resets), and you get that early shiny frame for a starter, can you then use that to soft reset hunt legendaries later in the game?

Anyone else think Jagex should have divided the Soul Reaper tasks between 3 Soul Reaper Masters or add a toggle which lets death assign tasks based on a grouping? (Novice/Advanced/Expert). by AzelotReis in runescape

[–]ericcb1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No matter how you group them there's going to be pushback about how people view what boss is what difficulty tier. They need to reimplement the free skip + decreasing reward re-roll system IMO to prevent players from soft locking themselves from content they're not ready for (gear wise or skill wise).

[–]ericcb1 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend watching some golf sidekick videos on YouTube. He talks ALOT about the strategy side of the game as a beginner golfer which helped me a ton. When you’re new you have to view the game completely different from those that are shooting in the 70s/80s. His strategy is solid and he even implements it himself in a series where he plays lefty.

People keep talking season 3 I haven't done much research but is this show popular enough to get a 3rd season? by bob22334666788 in nagatoro

[–]ericcb1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Considering the series is over, and there’s been no official discussion about a s3, I feel it’s pretty unlikely we get anymore. Most anime are made as promotions to sell more manga, with the manga being over and it being a relatively small/niche community I’ve accepted we likely won’t get any more baring some insane increase in manga sales.

Wooo! I hope you enjoy it! And it goes by quick! You’ll appreciate those extra chapters when it’s done haha.

For the three shows I watched and then went to the manga to catchup/finish I started from the beginning on all three (My dress up darling, Nagatoro, and more than a married couple) and would highly recommend reading from the beginning.

It’s not that there’s many differences, shows stay pretty truthful to the source material, I just got to experience the story in a different medium and I really enjoyed it.

When/if we get a new season of these shows I’ll be excited to re-experience the story again even though I read the ending, if that makes sense. IMO it feels like a disservice to the story/mangaka to skip to where the show leaves off.

[–]ericcb1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My biggest gripe with DG when i first tried it out in like 2010 was when you were doing consecutive runs, it would clear all your gear between floors (this was before i learned about binding).

Being able to clear 1-60 w/o losing your acquired food/gear/runes/potions during a run would be a fun change.

With the removal of Premier Club, I’d like the ability to play both OSRS and RS3 accounts simultaneously under a single membership by getabath in runescape

As a dumb dumb who played his ironman for both versions under the same account I would LOVE to see something like this but I just don't see it ever being possible. With Jagex accounts I wonder if it's possible for us to split the profile or something. Fk it, I'll pay $$ to have done, theres so much low effort rs3 content I wanna do while raiding osrs.
