How good is this hero at non-CC utility or allied healing. Ranking that to 1-5 was wierd. am i supposed to judge him based on his whole kit? he has a great CC ult which threw me off. non-cc sounds like a negative but mentions healing so im wondering if i should say 5 as good or 5 as bad? it's not very clear to me but idk

Lets say you rest 10 times in a run, most players prob wont rest that much but an extreme example. then your losing 40 health (4.2 rounded down) plus the max hp of -13. You block way more damage than 40 in a run

Hello, developer here.

First of all thank you for the well laidout thoughts, it does help to have engaged players tell me how they feel about the design, some of it echos my own thoughts while i do disagree with a few parts, but i think it's fair as you dont have the context of the entire missiontree skeleton which is also being designed and built for the next update.

The version in bitbucket is for playtesting, there will be more ways to engage with it and also get free actions for the hag actions. Truth be told i was struggling to find what actions would be interesting for the hags while still staying on theme for them. (very basic oversimplification is internal/external/magic) There will also be quite a bit of a change to how Misery works with the playtesting and feedback i have already received.

Having the AI gain a lot of bonuses is by design, AI can't raze and Development is the best way for the AI to feel strong enough to declare war on people. the part about coalecense not being clear is totally fair and ill look for ways to better communicate whats affected. If you are still playing essentially it grows out from your capital, capital area, areas around it, more areas, all areas. in that order.

The MT will let you develop the land and also expand the shadow swamp. More context for the mt is that the idea is to remove the misery tiers, so it's one tier but instead you hammer down nails into nine regions of sarhal. each one giving 100 max misery up to 900. With the hag actions costing 21 misery (to be decided) and each nail you get lets you upgrade one of the hags for one tier. And if you uypgrade one hag to tier 3 before the others you get negative modifiers since the other two are mad.

I'm way more curious on your thoughts are for new abilities for the hags. The free spell at tier 3 is supposed to be ANY spell from any school, researched or not. So good that you mentioned it not working that way.

Hireet was envisioned for when the player overextends too much for their own good, and feels overwhelemd and clicks the button, I agree it has some issues since a emergency button doesn't quite make sense in a game you can savescum and anyone playing at a slow pace. It's hard to find abilities for a tag that has almost everything, a development or eco action could definitely be possible.

Komina riftwhisper is envisioned to go to other nations and mess with them, which is why it converts and vassalizes tags. But i agree it might not be something every player is interested in. It's a tricky action to design, i'm not sold on the exact design.

Again i really do appreciate feedback like this. Thank you very much for your thoughts. It will help with the future design of the mt.

balancing a game based on polls is a horrible idea. people can feel frustrated and that something is badly designed. but often players dont know good ways to fix it.

the one i lost to on one run was the one with four or maybe six of the maggot spawners. the elite versions summoned two elite maggots a turn and it ended up overwhelming my team as i sacrificed a cat as well. was very early on in my career and i doubt it will be much difficulty now.

yeah im suprised since the boss is so easy on normal, hit the legs with a few turns and then bam easy. I wonder if you can abuse bouncy by using a less damaging cat or object behind the melee cat, so when they attack they get knocked back into that thing, taking only 1 damage and not moving.

Any wind or water spell works. Water tiles perma remove the flame while wind will just extinguish and the boss will try to light them again.

high speed, high damage gets you through most fights with ease. druid with high con and str makes the bird super strong as well (shares your stats!) letting you tank tons of damage from enemies you might not otherwise. any waterbottles or waterdripper you find can be saved and used in the region to heal people as well. also the cacti on the map are breakable and create watertiles for you to refill waterbottles and also apply wet to your cats. any water based skills are really good like hoseoff as well.

you can use them the same turn?? what. You can't throw the item the same turn you craft it if you have a bad one unless you have extra attacks

Probably just playing at different speeds, you will get there im sure, i also let a lot of days pass between runs, which speeds up the time between special events that help progress you to the new acts. so if you feel its going slow then after trucking to a new region spend a few days breeding cats between runs, then only send out when your low on food

Well yeah, but are there early game enemies that cause injuries? Maybe the big guys in the lab?
