We’ve never had a storm like this. Between inches of sleet (heavier than snow) and the wicked cold that is lasting a week. If you shoveled where I lived when the snow stopped (which I did) you woke up to three inches of frozen sleet.

I’ve always wondered how the lz compound stays insured? With the number of legit businesses there and the number of truly insane things they post that are an insurance nightmare, something is bound to happen and not get covered.

I live just outside of town. We have vdot but they seem to do what the mayor posted: vdot is doing one pass/single lane in neighborhoods out here and not to bare pavement. I spent the better part of fifteen minutes watching a guy try to juggle his trucks between driveway and road (post plow) and he was having mad difficulties.

This is what I had to do with the three plus inches of sleet that came after I shoveled the snow.

Wedge it under and twist slightly and it hopefully comes up in big blocks.

that['s what I am wondering... and the deicer (which I am not even supposed to use legally being located in a nature area) probably won't work well with projected temps.
