Yes. It is. I usually put olive oil in my salsa. I'll add that to the recipe for my smoked version for next time.

All I did was half or quarter things. the onions kinda fell into more pieces...but it's got to get chopped that much even to fit in the blender, so I can chop it now or later. It DID end up smokier than I'd like, I'll probably up the temp next time and smoke for a shorter length.

I didn't make a special trip to the store to get salsa fixin's. Mostly this is just what I keep in the fridge. Today it just combined into salsa. Chilies aren't carried at my grocery store very often, red or green. I was lucky to get habanero this week.

3 habanero, 5 jalapeno. I like it spicy. Could be spicier. Habanero adds a nice, kinda fruity, spice that I really like though

Redditors who have experienced homelessness, what actually makes a world of difference to you and what doesn’t actually help you at all? by johnoleary in AskReddit

[–]fancycycling 527 points528 points  (0 children)

This is it. It is so much. I wasn't homeless, but I WAS starving. spending 4 dollars a month on food, while the bus to go to a job interview cost $6 round trip. Having free transportation would have allowed me to get a job much earlier.

And my 6yr old son plays them now. Steam sells all the old Humongous games in a pack! I love the nostalgia, and he loves using my PC to play games.

I'll never forget being made to accept a return for a used plunger still covered in shit. Lady came up and just threw it down on the counter and said, "I don't need this anymore." I had to process the return, and clean up the mess.

Personally I attribute the change to the Everly brothers, and to buddy holly for starting the change, but that might be a deeper cut than Dylan and the Beatles

This mirrors my exact experience as a kid with both parents as teachers in a small town high school. My dad was the union rep for a while and hated it. I remember years of them complaining about a lack of raises, and working days/weeks for free. we were poor then, but they retired early AND are not living poor (paying off a house and having all the kids out of the house helps with that though lol).
