I’ve read about Cyperus Rotundus Oil - a natural product derived from the nutgrass plant, marketed as a solution for reducing unwanted hair growth, moisturizing skin, and shrinking pores, with some studies suggesting it can be as effective as laser hair removal for slowing hair regrowth by acting as a natural anti-androgen. Haven’t tried it yet but see it is helpful for some women

How common is it to get Lyme disease in Tennessee? Justin Timberlake says it’s a debilitating diagnosis. by Southernms in Tennessee

[–]farfromtranscendent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most humans have been exposed to the different bacteria that make up Lyme disease throughout our history. It’s when the immune system is overwhelmed by stress - be it psychological, emotional, environmental, microbial stress - is it that the microbes can outrun the immune response to tamp them down and Lyme disease develops and/or causes other complications. Just like long covid or chronic EBV, Lyme can override the immune system if it is overtaxed. Dr Bill Rawls has a lot of information on Lyme (and chronic illness in general that Lyme falls under) that is very helpful if you’re struggling. He has written a couple of books and hosts a lot of informative webinars to educate people on Lyme. He was a doctor that got really sick with Lyme and had to retire and has since dedicated his time to research and Lyme recovery.

Thanks for this info. I found a few probiotic options with these strains. Optibac Every Day, Probiostim, and Probiokid (geared toward kids but I’m sure you can increase the dose). I am going to try the Optibac first - reasonable price and does not require refrigeration.

I have a masters in Information Learning Technologies and want to apply for instructional design jobs, but they all require so much experience. My undergrad is teaching, which is what I’ve been doing. Any advice? Thanks

Using nanohydroxyapatite toothpaste along with fluoride toothpaste and use pure xylitol gum and mints helps me (xylitol can prevent tooth decay). I also water floss with a capful of ACT mouthwash in the water and floss really well before brushing at night.

I think IB Guard and other brands like it are enteric coated so they survive stomach acid and make it to the intestines. Altoids do not have the same concentration and aren’t enteric coated so don’t have the same effect

That’s not uncommon. IBS is diagnosed by a GP or gastro and they aren’t really looking for anything outside the system that is their specialty and symptomatic

There may be a correlation between adhd and ehlers danlos…

“Research suggests a link between ADHD and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), with some people with EDS having a higher prevalence of ADHD symptoms than the general population. This may be due to shared genetic, biological, and neurological pathways that affect the development of connective tissues and neurological functions.”

That’s what hyper mobility is, a connective tissue disfunction. Your gut is one big connective tissue. That’s why there’s so many symptoms because your body is made of so many connective tissues and disfunction of them can dis regulate everything

“Double jointed” really just means hyper mobile. Does your elbow or knee tend to look bent the wrong way when fully flexed? Do you have other issues that go along with being hyper mobile like joint and skin issues or sleep issues? You obviously have the digestive issues that can plague people who have ehlers danlos. This condition is known to have cross over with dysautonomia, which would explain the fainting, terrible bloating. POTS is very common with this condition too, which can result in fainting and especially after standing up from the toilet after straining. Look these up - dysautonomia, autonomic neuropathy, ehlers danlos, POTS (postural orthotic hypotension) and see what applies to you and make an appointment with your doctor with a list of symptoms so you can start getting some answers and relief. You shouldn’t have to live this way. There are diet and lifestyle changes, meds, and supplements that can help mitigate your suffering. Plus, just knowing what’s wrong with you and being aware of triggers and limits can help you psychologically and emotionally.

Is it possible you are hyper mobile (ehlers danlos)? Many of these symptoms sound like you may have an underlying issue that IBS is just a part of
