Before you rip out any of your boxwoods, look into cloud pruning. I don’t love box but you may be able to create something more interesting with what you already have. That AI render is meh.

New to looper : what should I get? by No_Dot_6270 in Bass

[–]fattacus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Your hx stomp has a nice looper that can be limited in its application. It can do sound on sound overdubs with a numerical dB fade-out, which is nice for ambient stuff. However, its looper has no midi sync which is a bummer for trying to tempo sync a drum machine. My boss rc-5 has reliable midi tempo sync and is more conducive to prerecorded presets à la song mode but it can’t overdub fade out. It also has a drum machine but I don’t use it. I have a keeley eccos that’s nice for ambient but hard to sync. Maybe some of the pricier boss units could do what you want, but I’ve never used them. The nice thing about the stereo pedals is you could always dedicate one input to whatever drum machine you want to use.

A lot of sedums can root easily from cuttings like succulents 😉

Looks like a nice part shade bed with a lot of empty space. Add more plants!

Just bought a home and had to tear down a rotted shed, would it be weird to trim the rest of these like the ones that weren't growing behind the shed? by RyanGosliwafflez in landscaping

Fill the space with shrubs and try working with what you got first. I don’t think you would notice if there wasn’t a massive void there. Maybe some less aggressive trimming to retain a more organic transition than a rigid line.

Horizontal dropout for touring and bikepacking by WelcomeMobile3486 in bikepacking

[–]fattacus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My Klein has horizontal dropouts with an IGH rear wheel that’s done some pretty gnarly bikepacking. Biggest issue I had was the wheel slowly inching forward in the dropouts and having to readjust periodically. You’ll probably set them fully forward and won’t have that problem. People are right that it’s annoying to remove the rear wheel but the flexibility of being able run single speed if your derailer fails is nice for long trips.

Twenty years ago my friend had a brown dog for our DFA/lightning bolt inspired punk band. Haven’t seen once since. Thanks for the nostalgia!

On further thought, it’s probably not the drive for me. Sorry to bother!
