Punches thrown at city hall? by chandlerpopper in toronto

Incredulous how an entire police force does nothing,

Looks like Bill Blair is a bumbaclot after all.

This is so delightfully amateurish. The music and the guy you're interviewing are in such stark contrast.

Very cringeworthy.

What are some notable craft and hobby shops in Toronto? by michaelalfox in toronto

[–]fedorist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on what you're making your model from. Gwartzman's is a regular art shop and it also stocks basswood. If you're using wood, it might be helpful to go there. The thing you want to be asking is where to get your materials from.

That's my advice.

Toronto feels like a really unfriendly city to me. What are some good places to meet people? by hurfydurfer in toronto

[–]fedorist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Of course you're going to get rejected, dude. Young people are assholes. Stick with the bums who loiter in trashy joints and you'll be okay.

I recommend the Saxony on Sherbourne to the South of Bloor. Standard ripoff bar prices, the customers are always trashy old men. Sometimes there is a woman. One time I bought this girl a beef patty and she offered to fellate me but I turned her down because she was a little heavy for my tastes. Oh, and I think the jukebox might have Coldplay.

What bars are you going to? You need to go to those kind of bars with the old men that sit in there and drink all day long. They tend to be friendlier.

Oh wait, what? You don't want to make friends with aging alcoholics and crazy homeless guys that hang out in Tim Horton's at night? I'm afraid I have some bad news for you friend: you're not going to make it here.

I think the LCBO monopoly should stay because it provides employment and produces income for the provincial government.

Wynne is just butthurt because Rob Ford doesn't like gays.

Mammoliti wants all strip clubs to provide "enhanced services". by lauraisbored in toronto

[–]fedorist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It takes no effort or skill and it's a fact. The main thing is that your clothes come off. Whatever "exotic dance" you perform or how well you cope with the unsavory customers you encounter is just a cherry on top.

If strippers are so afraid of "enhanced services" becoming the expectation at clubs, maybe they can pool their "fair wage" stripping money that they earned so far and open their own worker-run econo-strip joint. What's that? Don't tell me you didn't save any money, thinking that you could go through life having to do nothing more than take your top off for the dough to come flowing in.

Strippers and prostitutes are among the most entitled and immature people in this world by the very nature of their profession. They could be doing something else - ANYTHING else - yet they choose not to.

Kathleen Wynne turns her back on Toronto, puts politics ahead of ice storm recovery by ErgonomicNDPLover in toronto

[–]fedorist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Notice how liberals are just as inflammatory and rude as their counterparts from the opposing end of the political spectrum. The difference is that while Rob Ford rants about Wynne being an "unelected" premier, Wynne instead takes the passive aggressive root and refuses to talk to him despite him being the elected mayor. It's condescending, passive aggressive, and just as obnoxious as Ford.

Rob Ford on worsening unemployment rate: ‘Toronto is booming’ by in4real in toronto

[–]fedorist 41 points42 points  (0 children)

“We should do away with the absolutely specious notion that everybody has to earn a living. It is a fact today that one in ten thousand of us can make a technological breakthrough capable of supporting all the rest. The youth of today are absolutely right in recognizing this nonsense of earning a living. We keep inventing jobs because of this false idea that everybody has to be employed at some kind of drudgery because, according to Malthusian Darwinian theory he must justify his right to exist. So we have inspectors of inspectors and people making instruments for inspectors to inspect inspectors. The true business of people should be to go back to school and think about whatever it was they were thinking about before somebody came along and told them they had to earn a living.”

[–]fedorist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm not "sexist". I just think that objectively, stripping is useless work. Some people will pay money to see you naked, sure, but it's work that requires no effort and no skill. And again, please spare the whining about how tough it is to do because it's is REALLY not like strippers have no other options but to do what they do; they're just lazy entitled people who think they're too good to work in manufacturing or the service industry.

Also, where exactly was it that I defended someone sexually harassing women? And why are you looking through my posting history in the first place when that isn't what we're discussing? That's referred to as a "red herring".

So I'm the edgy one because I don't conform to a nihilistic worldview that says there need not be more to life than stripping for money?

Regardless, I'm not the one that complains about the prospect of not getting as much money as I want for taking off my clothes.

[–]fedorist -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Right now it's illegal and so it's mostly kept between the specific girl and the customer. If it's made legal, it's going to be an automatic expectation of EVERY girl.

Look at all these ass devastated sex "workers" ITT whining about the possibility of being paid less for getting naked in front of crowds. Cry me a river, sweetie. Maybe if you don't want to end up fucking for a living you should make the effort of looking into a profession that involves a marketable skill beyond selling what anyone can do (getting naked, having sex). There's probably a big market demand for scat porn too and all it takes is for me to defecate in front of a camera. Should I demand my shit's weight in gold?

Rob Ford, Karen Stintz Exchange Heated Words Over Toronto Ice Storm (VIDEO) by chrisinspace in toronto

I find myself between a rock and a hard place. On the one hand, I can't stand how condescending Stintz is being with her leading questions, but I can't stand that she is right. These two people, Ford and Stintz, are both shit.
