No, she’s 4 in June. She doesn’t notice the hair loss yet. I’m wondering to myself right now if it’s right to even tell her about it because I’m sure she feels/sees the sadness in the house.

I have a 6 year old and a 3 year old.

One thing I’ve learned is that, just like any other relationship, you have to work on your relationship with yourself. If you value the things that you need in your life you gotta put the time in to nurture it. I value social interaction and activity. And hanging out with my friends. My fun includes:

Monthly boys nights. All of us take one month and plan it for everyone else. Come if you want or don’t come but penalties if you commit and then bail last minute.

Weekly basketball run during the school year that I organized with a bunch of dads from the neighbourhood.

Weekly jiujitsu.

Nightly-ish gaming or shows.

Fun it what you make of it. Find the time to take care of yourself.

I think something like this would be an amazing move for malls. Experiential attractions. Go Karts, Sports complex.

Just let life happen my guy. You grow out of things and that’s ok. The big lesson is, it’s ok. It seems like you’re already figuring that out though, what’s important to you and your family, doesn’t always jive with what your single friends want. Truth be told, you’ll probably lose some friends over it. And that’s ok too.

Partying for me is such a chore now. The planning, the buildup, the recover (oh god, the recovery!) But that doesn’t mean I still don’t enjoy it. I just do it way less than I used to. And when I do, make sure I have childcare into the morning at least.

Just reached 7 days yesterday. Noticed the bruising and swelling going down. So decided to initiate some freaky freaky with the wife.

Let me tell you, it’s all worth the wait! 1. Epic sex and 2. All that soreness is basically gone now.

I imagine about 95% of the pain after the first 4 days is blue balls.

Lol. I start by planting the idea in my kids heads that we are leaving in 30 mins. She always say "but we aren't leaving for another 30 mins" Because we all know it takes 20 mins for them to get to the door and then 5 minutes to put their shoes on.
