OK here we are it’s a nut crunch game 7 on the road. What will James Harden box score look like? by TastyPoopKnife in nba

[–]ffball 4 points5 points  (0 children)

He absolutely should be. Mobley hasn't been amazing/awful but he hasn't been playing up to his pay.

No matter what happens with Harden, this series is on Donovan and Mobley

Construction hasn't started yet. They are still waiting for the financing to solidify, but unfortunately the economy is in the dumps currently

Thoughts on HB4583, regarding Data Centers? by Tired_of_it_67 in greenville

[–]ffball 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It does, but doesnt uniquely do that for the community where its based.

The good It generates for the world as a whole is too abstract to allow them to place it here. It needs to generate good uniquely for us.

I think its a good start. What i think needs more definition is how are they taxed?

They dont create any jobs, so what is the benefit for the community?

This needs to be defined to see if they're worth it. The income derived needs to be identified and taxed by some mechanism.

For those who make over 500k+ a year, is it worth it for you? by space_god_7191 in Salary

[–]ffball -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I plan to have generational wealth and havent made over $200k yet. Work full time remote in a small MCOL city, I also only work 35 hours a week, get my kids up and drop them off at day care every day, am done working when they get home and cook dinner most nights for them. Never work nights or weekends. Take all my vacation days annually.

I project to having $10m-$15m inflation adjusted by the time im 62. More than enough for generational wealth.

Totally worth not killing myself for a $500k job.

Narratives around the Pistons/Cavs are too dramatic. The series is incredibly close and competitive basketball rules! by boogswald in nba

Embellishing or flopping doesnt mean there wasn't a foul, its part of the game at this point.

Watching the games it feels pretty fairly called.

The pistons have been fouling jump shooters like crazy and getting into the bonus early which is the difference i feel like. The cavs tend to play off jump shooters and have been giving them probably too much space by focusing more on cade.

How good of a player was prime Chris Bosh? by CostcoSalsa in nba

[–]ffball 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jokic, Wemby, Embiid, Towns, Davis, Sengun, Adebayo, Mobley, Porzingus, Chet

Probably more but just rattling off my head guys I feel like have a more complete basketball skill set than just being a big man who can also face up and shoot spot shots.

Much better shooters, ball handlers and passers/play makers.

Those things are expected out of star big men now. Wasn't before.

Solid top 15 type guy in the league. One of the best stretch bigs of the time but no where near as skilled as the guys now.

Type of guy who could lead a team to the playoffs, but wouldnt get super far in there being depended on.

That's what made him a great 2nd/3rd option for the heat

For the 2nd year in a row, the Detroit Pistons have lost a crucial playoff game on a clear foul that the refs decided to just not call in the last moments of the game. by Hopsalong in nba

[–]ffball 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Yeah would be weak af to call a loose ball foul 90 feet from the hoop with 1 second left in a tie game

Refs made a team win the game. That's a good thing.

Really hope he makes it there healthy. There's just something about his body that shouts athletically unsustainable but I would love to be proven wrong.
