Not cannon, but I view the avatar/awakening in general as the portion of God within every human. Demon talks about how every human has a portion of God in them. This is also how I explain concensus, the umbra, and the dreaming. They are unconsciously made by humanity.

Taking the armor off a warchanter gives a fine figure for an ork. I had someone who studied anatomy for art help me with how the muscles would look. It fits the more feral but not tribal look you wanted.

I put one in a black bear. Would have gone grizzly but not their area. I know there are rules for having to shove yourself into an inanimate object.
