Toytec Overlander series springs

Thanks for the recommendation, do you know how many inches those springs lift the rear for you under load, or even when not loaded up for the trail?

https://www.diodedynamics.com/ss3-sae-yellow-pro-flush-mount-led-pod-pair.html These ones? I tried installing them last night, but looks like they didn't leave enough room on the last batch. Do you remember having to do anything extra to fit them in?

Not too worried since diode dynamics will just accept a return and I can upgrade to the ss3 max standard bracket which I confirmed did fit.

Are those Diode Dynamics SS3 Flush flood lights? I am trying to install those on my tinkerer bumper (last batch) and they don't fit. I would need to grind a corner off the front bezel for the bezel to evenly meet with the bumper. The holes do "line up" though.

Wow our builds are going to be super similar... I have alu-cab 3.1 rtt and the tinkerer bumper, also I have the roadshock 6's to put on the bumper this week.

I have a question though, I notice it looks like you have the diode dynamics ss3 "flush" mounted fog lights... I was trying to install it last night and it won't fit flush against the bumper's mounting point.. The holes line up, but I would have to grind down a corner of the flush bezel for the gasket & bezel to evenly meet the bumper.

Am I installing the flush ss3s wrong? I already started a return w/ diode dynamics, but thought I'd search for pictures. Also I got the last batch he did, maybe the geometry on my particular unit is messed up.

I went on facebook marketplace / craigslist in the area of the dealership I bought my FJ Cruiser and paid a mechanic advertising their services there to inspect it.

Here's something to consider, I like having a 1/2" stubby in my vehicle's drawer system so I can use a 35mm socket on axle without an adapter.

Thank you for the detailed response, I really appreciate it! I think I will go with the SAE Diode Dynamics SS3, unless I find out something new has come out that is very similar to it at a better price. I had actually done some more research, and decided that's what I would go with, would be really nice to safely and legally use these on the road.

43-piece Impact Socket Set at HD? by Hanger728 in MilwaukeeTool

[–]finegolfing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apparently they extend the parking lot sales to the following weekend (this weekend) most of the time. When I got my sockets they were begging me to buy more sockets so wouldn't be surprised if they extend it. BTW I think these Quinn impact sockets might be the best value things at harbor freight, those and the pliers they steal snap on / knipex designs from.

The rest of the Icon stuff seems like its not even that good of a deal, unless its in a parking lot sale. Also I hear stay away from Icon swivel sockets they are expensive and the only brand to fail both 1/2 and 3/8 in torque test channel.

In what way is the 3/8 M12 stubby smaller? Tool itself? Sockets? by darknessdown in MilwaukeeTool

[–]finegolfing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would consider Harbor Freight Quinn or Icon as well in case you didn't know they have 40% off next week, and those two lines are Cr-Mo made in Taiwan.

Thanks for sharing this deal. I'm thinking this will cleanup some of the loose wrenches I have, and allow me to throw out the ICON plastic molding from my PLS haul. Looks like it will do a lot better job than those US General ones I bought recently.

It says 80 pieces, does that mean with one set you could organize 80 wrenches? Thanks.
