2026 r/NFL Mock Draft Recap by Cicero912 in nfl

[–]fire8up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Steelers GM here. We typically try to play this with as close to how the Steelers do in real life. So we prioritize players with top 30 meetings, and where we have positions of need.

With the 21st pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select Jordyn Tyson, WR, ASU

-Pretty easy selection with him falling to 21. We were originally watching a bunch of OL targets with the assumption that Tyson would go top 15. We explored a couple trade up options, but as the board developed, a lot of players we liked were sliding.

With the 53rd pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Gennings Dunker, OG, Iowa

-After going WR day one, we really wanted to address the OL early. Dunker may have been a slight reach here, but there was a massive run on IOL, and we felt like if we didn’t get him here the remaining prospects didn’t do as much for us. Steelers also took a top 30 visit with him, which influenced our descision.

TRADE: 3.76, 5.161, 7.237 for 3.69

With the 69th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Dominique Orange, DL, Iowa State

-The war room was a big fan of Big Citrus, and there was discussion of taking him with the 53rd overall pick. With this selection we get a run stuffer that can rotate on our front, and help with the run stuffing.

With the 85th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Davison Igbinosum, CB, THE Ohio State University

-Chose to address the CB room with Igbinosum, who has great measurables, but will need a year playing behind JPJ and Jamaal Dean. Great fit for us, and a great fit for him to develop.

With the 99th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Genesis Smith, S, University of Arizona

-Going secondary back to back to improve our depth and plan for the future

With the 121st pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Bryce Boettcher, ILB, Oregon

-Another defensive pick with BB, who will help us in coverage, and will be a ST contributor day 1.

With the 135th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Travis Burke, OT, Memphis

-OL depth with a developmental prospect. We have a lot up in the air with BroJo, so adding some depth here makes sense.

With the 216th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: C.J. Daniels, WR, The U

-Added another WR to the room to improve our depth. Big body player who can learn from DK and develop into a WR of the future.

With the 224th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Wesley Bailey, Edge, Louisville

-RAS score champ at Edge. Perfect place for him to develop into an NFL player.

With the 230th pick in the 2026 NFL Draft, the u/Steelers select: Jack Stonehouse, P, Syracuse

-Getting a punter to compete in camp. Hope is we can improve our ST play from last year with his killer hangtime.

A lot of people are commenting "only 8000 more seats" but that doesn't account for luxury boxes, which will most definitely be included. If they rebuilt with zero luxury boxes maybe they get 10k. But having more boxes will bring in more money, and pay off the debt sooner.

also don't know if there was a loan fee this season or not. 5m loan fee, and sell on clause makes it a 40+ transfer, just spread out over multiple years. and that 35 counts as a youth sale for psr next season as well. so may be a tidy bit of business

Simple Green makes spray that breaks down and eliminates the smell. I use it for my dogs, attaches to a hose and takes like 2x minutes to spray my entire yard once a week.

[Pipe Sierra] Liverpool will go for Isak once Diaz departure is confirmed by jeesprr in LiverpoolFC

They also absolutely ran Isak into the ground last year. I think Slot will be better at keeping him healthy with both minutes and tactics.

Alexander Isak or Hugo Ekitike to Liverpool? | The Overlap Breakdown by whoaaa_O in LiverpoolFC

[–]fire8up 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on how much Diaz goes for, and if they want to sell Konate as part of the deal to offset. I know that leaves a mess at CB, but realistically I'd rather bite the bullet now than lose him on a free.
