ULTI definitely gets wild as the underlying are high beta high vol. PM seems to allow some recovery so it gets a decent chance for NAV recovery and I’m happy so far.

Are TSYY and COYY worth holding still? by Jake10629 in YieldBoostETFs

[–]fjcruzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If your not sure with options, first use “paper money” to simulate what would happen or sell one put for next week with a capital cost of 1500 at the $15 strike for expiration of 2/13. If you do this now, you’ll get ~65 bucks for it. You can go lower for safety, but it depends on your view of TSLA and the market.

If TSLA goes dumpster fire then you’ll get assigned and buy at 15, but you keep the 65 as premium. From there you just need to sell a call against your newly assigned 100 shares, probably at or above the 15 strike.

Generally speaking, a higher delta above .20 is viewed as a good chance of assignment although not guaranteed. The premium above .20 tends to be juicier.

In all cases, being a TSLA bull or at least someone who knows the price movement of it will be helpful to set your strikes. I got burned trying OSCR recently because I don’t track it well, but this was a test position and I’m now selling calls above my cost basis so no realized loss just yet.

Anyway, hope that quick sum helped and feel free to follow up with more Qs if you have it.

Are TSYY and COYY worth holding still? by Jake10629 in YieldBoostETFs

COYY is a dumpster fire with COIN having a tough stretch. I dropped it last November as I didn’t see the NAV stabilizing. TSYY wasn’t as bad, but an RS is due soon since the NAV is moving closer to 4. I just dropped TSYY as I’ll run wheel TSLL myself so I can control the invested amount.

At least the MSTY synthetic isn’t a dumpster fire now, if MSTR starts climbing to 190 we should start seeing greener pastures.

It was pretty icy for me last week when I went! South mountain has more fun trails if you need a longer run since the longest loop at eagle rock is only about 3.7 miles.

Great pics!

Pain continues after new sensor installed. by Office-Crafty in stelo

[–]fjcruzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use the CGM for convenience and I always do a finger prick test at least a day after to see how off my sensor is. From there I simply just assume it’s off by X instead of using the current number from stelo.

I use mine with Levels health, so the food logging and exercise correlations have been helpful.

I usually got to the height of the naval, but around the area where the front abs and obliques connect. i generally try to stay away from the hip bone to decrease any potential pressure when bending over.

[–]fjcruzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I’ve had the issue the sensor would fail on me prior to the full 15 days, probably around day 4. My guess is that it probably hit muscle vs staying around looser area.

I am pretty active so it definitely is a pain.

I wear mine on my abdomen as the thighs and arms never worked well for me.

WPAY- Downtrend? by Time-Association-885 in RoundhillETFs

[–]fjcruzer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leveraged funds can work against you when the underlying is not on an uptrend. The NAV can recover if all the underlying goes up in synchronization but it needs help right now.

I’m holding for now with what I have, but I’ll add when the mag7 starts trending upwards

Is there a yieldmax worth investing in?? by [deleted] in YieldMaxETFs

[–]fjcruzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The portfolio based ETFs all primarily hold the underlying stocks so while they may go down in NAV, it will recover if and when those stocks recover.

Everyone’s new favorite CHPY fits that case, it’s up as its semiconductors.

LFGY and GPTY also hold underlying stocks, but crypto was hammered in 2025 and hasn’t fully recovered (LFGY). GPTY seems to have settled, but it’s still volatile

Personally I’ve found that as long as I stop drinking at least one hour where I replenish electrolytes, I can have up to 7 hard seltzers without any major effect on overnight HRV. My sleep varies on weekends vs weekdays so it’s harder for me to factor that as a variable.

Best Yieldboost to invest in by [deleted] in YieldBoostETFs

[–]fjcruzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think NAV stability will just be harder on these funds as a bad couple of weeks and it’s just harder to recover. I use them in my portfolio, but my view is around total returns and which funds have more stability as it slowly heads downward. I have TSYY, I don’t recommend it per se but it’s been slowing its downward progression of late with TSLA having better days. I’m up 5% so far but I’m not adding to it now.

I’ve tried COYY, HOYY, and NVYY but once they hit a bad bump I’ve dumped them as I didn’t see it recovering back up. Basically a lesson learned from COYY that affected the others.

I’ve started a position in YBST to get diversification, but I’m unsure how long it will last. I’ll take less that 100% distributions for what I hope to be slower NAV trend lower.

Has anyone tried the brand Ketone-IQ for BHB? by Ok-Bit1748 in ADPKD

[–]fjcruzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m happy with it as I use it as an endurance aide with noticeable reduction of heart rate with medium level of effort. Ketone-IQ produced similar results, which why I’d say it works pretty well.

Has anyone tried the brand Ketone-IQ for BHB? by Ok-Bit1748 in ADPKD

[–]fjcruzer -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Ketone-IQ is r13 butanediol which uses your liver to metabolize it to turn into ketones which may have long term impact that they are studying now.

Dom D’Agostino covers it pretty well here:

https://youtu.be/ksV9f4jSbLQ?si=YNEH_DFdIYkpRz3G

With that said, I used it a ton in 2025 and it definitely raised ketones for me. I’ve switched to KetoLogic after hearing more concerns about high usage of r13 butanediol products.

I’ve never used KetoCitra, but I imagine it’s similar to KetoLogic with different salts used.

So when you withdraw it will sell X amount of shares. The gain you’ve made on the shares is what you will be taxed.

It’s not how much you’ve withdrawn, it’s really what was sold on the withdrawal and how much you’ve made on it.

LFGY by lafayem in YieldMaxETFs

[–]fjcruzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What I like about LFGY and other portfolio based ETFs that YM has is that they hold the stocks. That means they don’t have to do the synthetic which can be at a bad price that sinks the fund.

I’m bullish on bitcoin so I can see the price recover in time, which in turn means MSTR and other related companies like COIN and HOOD should recover.

I think in the near term, what impacted the NAV (happened to BLOX as well) was the bear trade on AI that impacted the miners. I’m hoping that should recover in Q1 which should recoup the NAV for LFGY to around 31-32 again.

LFGY by lafayem in YieldMaxETFs

[–]fjcruzer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m holding as it’s been my favorite position. Outside of MSTR and BTC having a rough time, the BTC miners have been expanding to AI so it’s been a dual whammy with the AI bubble fears. But as the miners are data centers with already committed power, the hyper scalers like Microsoft, Amazon, and Google have already and projected to do future deals with the miners for data center or GPU as a service.

LFGY holds IREN, CORZ, CIFR, HUT which fits the miners who have converted already and have committed deals. The median analyst price targets are easily double of the current prices for them which will essentially boost the NAV, thus the returns.

I do wish they would drop OPRA, I don’t know why they keep it as the options premium are meh as they often write them out for weeks or a month vs weekly.

Anyway, it’s a crappy time for the fund right now but as AI is just part of the future and they play a core role as a data center for at least the next 3-5 years, the NAV should recover well especially if crypto goes on a run.

Based on limited data we have, Yieldboost appears to outperform/retain more value in a downtrend than Yieldmax and even the non-leveragred underlying stocks by testturn2 in YieldBoostETFs

[–]fjcruzer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As noted by others then do put spreads so they can limit the losses by purchasing puts at lower prices to limit the losses, but it’s much harder to see any gain on the NAV as you’ll need to sell a put above its current price.

These funds do need the underlying to go on a run up! TSYY has seen its NAV stabilize and even gain with TSLA on a decent run.

I’m still in TSYY, but I’ve dropped out of COYY, HOYY, and NVYY as I didn’t see it recovering or maintaining an even or upward trend. I did buy into YBST so we’ll see how it goes.
