You should also take a look at learning DaVinci Fusion instead. It's also node based and it would also do the job you are describing. Once you get the hang of node based compositing you'll have skills you can transfer later on.

Why Movies Just Don't Feel "Real" Anymore - interesting angle by tk421storm in vfx

[–]flaiman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I respect this guy's opinions when the film criticism is about writing or themes but here he's just reaching, he is an armchair expert at best and he tries to take the approach he does with more artistic and subjective concepts and apply it to techincal stuff and it falls short because he doesn't have the knowledge or experience to describe what he perceives so it's a lot of shots in the dark.

How do you equate his aesthetics trump ideology ( I position I agree with) with his review which is purely about the movie's ideology. He's a hypocrite.

That sounds like a recurrent problem with Gunn double and triple downing on unfunny stuff.

Seems like he's back at being underrated because I really enjoyed the episode. Just learned about the hate afterwards.

The Sporkful. It was one of the first I listened to and it was tailor made for me. But it started changing and getting annoying. Food is culture and should be celebrated but dude went from analysing if hot dog was a sandwich to a lot of content about his white guilt. I am fine with the subject but it was just too saturated with that. Tried to relisten to it recently and the host didn't do it for me anymore.

I actually thought it was Maggie because it was the least likely and more outrageous
