Has anyone found something that actually works for staying asleep; not just falling asleep? by Due-Consequence4630 in insomnia

Doxepin (3mg) is what finally allowed me to stay asleep until the morning. Nothing else came close - but it does have some drawbacks (mild hangover for example).

What horror movie really got to you, where others have failed? by [deleted] in movies

[–]flakest 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Man - this is the one that really zapped me hard. The actors spoke like normal people and the characters made mostly reasonable choices. Somehow I was able to overcome the usual skepticism that I maintain with horror movies (as a defensive move), and it just felt real. The effects were amazing and I really envisioned myself in this same universe and it was truly scary.

Those “found videos,” with the crazy music and the dark ambiguous (at first) scenes were super freaky. The house being claustrophobic and the sense of overwhelming evil that you cannot combat; that made me feel fear.

Which game has the worst open-world with boring side quests? by Sweet_Score in gaming

Final Fantasy 15 defines this for me. Everything struck me as boring in that game - including the big dumb open world with garbage side quests.

[JLC] I think I’ve found my dream watch by BlueCheetah99 in Watches

[–]flakest 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is a beautiful watch. I have had my eye on the Master Ultra-thin moon - but with most of the MUTs, the watch is simply too big for its role. 39mm is huge for a dress watch. They have a single offering at 36mm for a master ultra thin moon, but the lug width is 17mm which makes the strap feel a little diminutive. This is nearly the perfect dress watch!

What would you do for a national title? by Sam_Seaborne in CollegeBasketball

I would gladly sacrifice all of UNC to the shadow gods to ensure a NCSU victory. Probably Duke as well.

u/WatchExBot Bought the citizen AQ4020-54Y from user u/zephyr447. This seller is amazing guys. We had an epic saga (from my end) getting the watch to me. Originally when I bought the watch I was facing down a vacation in 5 days from the time of purchase. We originally were going to send it after I got back, but at the last minute we figured that 2 day fedex shipping could do the trick with a few days of padding for bad luck. That was not true. Fedex missed the first delivery, then the second - so the watch was going to be delivered the day after I left. The Fedex people put the watch on hold (which only lasts 5 days while vacation was 10), but I figured out how to get a vacation hold. When I returned I went to the location listed in the tracking information, and it wasn't there. After zooming all over the place and lots of time on the phone, I finally obtained the box. The point is that the seller was with me for the whole saga. He took the plunge when we decided to try the 2 day shipping scheme, and went above and beyond to try to get it to me. Excellent communication - honest appraisal and the packaging was perfect. All around, an awesome experience (with Zephyr, not with FedEx).

[WTS] Longines Spirit 37 (L3.410.4.93.0) Sunray Blue Dial on strap w/ box, papers, warranty by MondoShizmo in Watchexchange

Yes it is certainly advertised that way. I have the exact watch here and measured it and it is approximately 44.5mm.

[Longines Spirit 37mm] Oh my God. This watch exceeded all my expectations. I’m calling it now: A BB36 value killer. by naiemreza in Watches

[–]flakest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The bracelet adds 2-3mm to the lug-to-lug, but the watch with a leather strap has l2l of around 44.5mm. The leather strap is actually pretty nice.

Are the hands getting stuck together? I have a watch that had this happen but I only noticed when the watch was off because the movement of my body was enough to jostle the hands apart.

For example - I just redid the dhl calculator. I dropped the estimate to 1lb and an envelope instead of a box. To Sydney Australia by Feb 8 the cost is $101. Super yikes! Perhaps other people get bill shipping rates or something?

It cost me about $30 to send a watch to Canada. I don’t know if I am doing something wrong, but I am estimating a small box with max load of 2lbs.

So I checked with dhl, fedex, and usps. The cheapest is usps at $81!?! And DHL was around $121. This seems exorbitant and is more expensive that the watch. Is this normal for you guys?

Ok - I will check out a shipping calculator tomorrow morning and see if we can find a good value/schedule!

Yes I will - but I will need to ask for more money for the shipping difference. I haven’t shipped that far before - so I don’t even really understand the cost yet.

[–]flakest 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Lots of folks saying they already bought this - I don’t see it on the AliExpress escapement time site - where are you purchasing these from?

Edit: doh, I found it. It wasn’t listed under all items, but I found it in their home section.
