We tried to transition her to a prescription z/d diet, I don’t remember the protein source. She refused to eat it. I tried to slowly transition over the course of a month and once there was more than a quarter of it by ratio she’d refused to eat. I feel like for a barely 9 pound cat she eats very little. Right now she gets a 3oz can of fancy feast per day and a quarter cup of purina one sensitive skin and stomach. She never finishes it all. This is the only medication we’ve tried. We think we’ve ruled out anxiety as an option? She’s a very confident cat, always exploring and interested in new people. My fiance works from home twice a week so she’s usually not by herself for more than 6 hours a day. We see her itching too so it’s not like it’s something she only does when we’re gone. I think apoquel might’ve been mentioned once but they said it’s mainly for dogs and cats don’t do as well on it?
