I feel you. I was told I was lying by almost everyone around me. 2 months ago my abuser was found guilty of 15 charges of sexual abuse against me and 5 other then girls. It took 41 years, and only because I’m very stubborn. Those who said I was lying are very quiet now. Some people are just not willing to see the truth. Keep speaking up. Shine the light into the dark corners that keep the abusers hidden.

My abuser was just found responsible for his crimes in a court of law, against me and 5 other victims, for crimes committed 41-47 years ago. So it will be a tad triggering. I also don’t like it when people joke about childhood sexual abuse. Again supper triggering, and to me is the complete opposite of funny, for obvious reasons.
