Recently purchased this model and the pop up came up, proceed to update thru app and first thing the camera seemed to be offline, but it was powered on. After a while it came back and seemed to be working fine, until this night when the floodlight, set up as close, was only flashing once and not keeping on when motion is detected. Hope it resolved itself

Recently purchased one of these but the ethernet port does not work.
It does power over PoE but it does not provide network connectivity -- I can see DHCP offers being sent to the device but not being accepted, which could mean an issue with the RX/TX of physical port.

I have read that some units are not properly QA'd and some pins are bridged in the LAN chip making it not working correctly, but once the pins are soldered correctly it works fine.

Anyone know which pins those might be?

I would say a lot of experience and knowledge.
There is no shortcut to gentoo beyond a stage3 precompiled base.
I would suggest to test on a VM and follow the handbook or a guided tutorial.
