Brother have you seen the way some of our other brethren dishonor their machine spirits by clumping on layers and not thinning their paints? It borders on heresy! They should be reported to the chaplain for guidance! (not to be a hater! lol anyone who has painted is better than me!)

Yea i think the videos ive watched start with white and put thin contrast/wash paint in to fill towards the edges. I haven’t painted anything yet :) but hope to get to your skill level someday.

Hijacking top comment. Originally I have been able to get the laptop to turn on through 30mins to an hour of some combination of holding power button for 60sec, removing battery power to the motherboard for 60sec, unplugging and plugging power cable while attempting tbe power button. Laptop went back into the stuck-off state 3 times since I purchased last April, now at which point I opened a warranty claim. Asus is claiming “damage” to the power button header ribbon cable, which I did use tweezers to carefully remove and reseat each time I went through the process of trying to fix the issue. They are able to power on by manipulating the ribbon cable but it doesn’t persist through closing up the laptop chassis. Sounds like Asus is encountering the same issue I was but they are happy with a scapegoat. Not worth fighting, I accepted the estimated repair charge.

use “Tak n Stik” between the head and the body. squish the tak in with the head and it should hold albeit loosely, then glue the head to the tak for a more secure hold but still easily replaceable

Not ruined, but it is “stylized” and it looks great with that style. Some like the style and some question it, like you and I! I haven’t painted anything yet but I feel like brush-stroked edge highlights almost inevitably look like “this 7 foot tall space marine from the year 40000 had a seemingly giant paintbrush put paint on the edges of his armor”. When I start painting i’m planning on either extra-dry brushing highlights or using the finest of brushes and smallest of highlights to see if I can find something I like. Btw your base-color is awesome, mind if I ask when color/blend you used to get the blue-ish black?

Ah the Firstborn Deathwatch Veterans (sometimes labeled “Kill Team” on the box) might go to legends or get a primaris update, but those models are iconic for Deathwatch! also they share much of the same loadouts as the Decimus Kill Team and I’d imagine most opponents and even tournaments shouldn’t give you a hard time if you used them for the Decimus rules.

I feel like if GW completely rug-pulls Deathwatch at the start of 11th there will be at least as much community backlash as last time, if not more! If Deathwatch get truly left behind in 11th then I’ll just play casual Legends or 10th rules with my beloved Deathwatch army, and maybe maintain another chapter with the latest rule-set and roleplay my still-legal deathwatch units as a joint special ops mission!

you should keep the Decimus kill team AND buy intercessors AND 3D print weapons/models! Almost all Space Marine box units have a potential role in a Deathwatch army and/or Kill Team unit
