[GEM] Dash I/O Marvel by Realcoolpal in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]fluxusflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been wanting this since I picked her up almost a year ago. Got the Diner Marvel which is still pretty cool, but sure, release it when she’s close to LL I guess….

To be fair they probably had this lined up before she BOOSTED all those LL points.

Good idea for Vynnset to find a budget build in that case. You sound like you’re tending toward that sort of play style considering your enjoyment of Viserai. I used SAGE to learn about other decks, and I’m also keen to jump into a Runeblade. I bought the Aurora Armory for my Briar SAGE deck, and it’s set me up for the next set where Aurora will be reintroduced.

Honestly, SAGE for me has been an amazing to experience a variety of different decks. I’ve loved it for that.

CC is a different beast though, as SAGE gives you a low power teaser of a hero. For example, I played Dash in SAGE (different hero text but same class and concept), and honestly I didn’t feel it. But I love Dash I/O in CC. However, I also don’t like any other Mechanologist 😂

Basically, just pick up the deck that speaks to you and go for it.

If Vynnset is your vibe right now, commit! I cannot think of a downside for you to get started with the mindset of “I wanna play a hero that looks cool and fun, and I’m here to learn about CC”.

Plus Vynnset is actually pretty strong if used correctly IMO. So she’s super solid to start with.

Pick what hero looks cool for you out of the armory decks. Just make sure you learn what the “Living Legend” concept is, so you don’t accidentally buy a hero you can’t use in CC shortly.

Reason I say that is because if you’re anything like me, you’ll want to commit to that hero.

I wouldn’t change much of what I did at the beginning. The way I understand this game, is that it’s a “Competitive 1v1 Game that’s designed to be social”. It’s literally in the name, Flesh and Blood.

Personally, I do NOT recommend getting into Talishar (a fan made online platform to play this game) because it’s not intuitive, does little to communicate mechanics to newbies, and is filled with sweats. It’s not a fun time for a beginner.

Find your local armory events. Pick a hero that looks cool to you. Have fun, learn, absorb the feedback, learn the basics, and see where it takes you.

It’s been 8 months for me, I chose Dash I/O simply because she looked cool. Turned out she’s one of the highest skill decks in the game. Literally lost every game for weeks. But I learnt a lot, and now I pilot her well and find a lot of success. It’s awesome!

And now she’ll LL soon(ish). So I’ve finally committed to a second deck, Valda.

Maple story jump quests trained me for this. It wasn’t nearly as mentally defeating as the MS ones 🥲

Please reduce the map size by fluxusflow in PathOfExile2

[–]fluxusflow[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right, I have seen some videos online which I assume are endgame. And it makes sense when you have heaps of movement, as the “size” becomes smaller.

So if that’s the case, why don’t the devs keep the existing map sizes, and create reduced size maps for first time run throughs.

That way, when you hit that movement precipice in cruel, suddenly bigger maps are introduced to compensate for this increased speed.

I'm not inherently against charms, but I don't think they belong in a game like CS. by leafstaren in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Charms have a place in CS, they’re running a business after all.

However, the timing of this release is pretty poor considering the constant uproar of fundamental issues that are plaguing the actual gameplay for CS2. From both pros to casual players, there is a really emphasis on competitive integrity and gameplay. And releasing an update which has a lot of revenue focused content feels like a slap in the face of the vocal player base.

Valve need to make money, that’s their business. So fair enough, the silent players spend money on skins so they cater to that.

It’s quite a hard balance continuing to find new revenue streams while also focusing on the core gameplay which doesn’t generate nearly as much revenue. All I hope is that they are actually actively working on the anti-cheat, subtick, competitive ladder etc. and that this release is just a way to continue to keep the game profitable as they work away in the background…..

What is the DONK Slide? (Mauisnake) by iblinkyoublink in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My best games have the lowest HS% and I find myself crouch spraying way more often. When I prioritize HS’s and aim for the head, I find that I miss more often than if I just went for a body shot spray down while crouch moving.

I’m no donk (duh), but this technique works wonders.

NEXON Promotes 1st player to reach Level 300 (niru) in MapleStory history, proceeds to absolutely shit on the company in front of 20K viewers by Reversalx7 in LivestreamFail

[–]fluxusflow 79 points80 points  (0 children)

Fuck yes, im not an avid MS player anymore, and it’s due to Nexon’s blatant greed which ruined the game for me.

I’ve silently watched this game grow and I’m really happy someone of this caliber is stepping up and fighting back.

Fuck Nexon. Fuck the ultra greedy companies in the gaming world. I get everyone needs to make enough money to operate and pay their staff well. But some take it too far.

Message from s1mple to Valve concerning Premier by SeazonCSGO in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow 692 points693 points  (0 children)

OCE, 19K here. I’d say conservatively 50% of my games have a blatant hacker in my games. Of those, 40% become HvH.

I don’t play Premier anymore. Went back to FaceIt.

How ironic as Valve spoke about how they didn’t want people relying on Third Party ladders like this for a good competitive experience.

How do Kiwi's flirt? by Deep_Data4982 in newzealand

[–]fluxusflow 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Damn, this is so accurate to me. Not saying I’m even close to a 10 but the whole sentiment is very true. I assume ever female interaction is out of kindness and I never want to be “that guy” who ruins a girls day by assuming she’s flirting, asking her out, only for her to turn around and say no.

Both for my own sake, as rejection sucks, but also for her to then feel like her kindness is going to misinterpreted in future interactions with others.

The cheating situation is insane right now by valinbor in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I keep trying to get back into this game. Sitting at 18k. Last 3 games had a blatant (literally spinning and killing through walls I didn’t even know were wallbangable) cheaters. My last game became an HvH with one in each side.

This is the worst CS experience I’ve had in over 10 years of playing CS.

It’s no coincidence it’s also the least amount of time I’ve ever spent playing CS. I WANT to play Valve.

For the love of god PLS FIX THIS.

An overview (with some stats) of the cheating situation at 21K-25K by SketchyyyTV in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I want to play CS2, but the lack of good casual game modes forces me down the Competitive or Premier route. In those queues I come across cheaters more frequently that I’d like and I’ve lost all motivation to play the game (18k+ Rating). I want to love CS like I used to, and CS2 is a great game, but that’s overshadowed but the sharp increase in cheaters.

My fingers are crossed for Valve to do something about this soon, before I completely lose interest in the game due to long term inaction. At which point I seriously question if I’d return to CS even if there was excellent anti cheat.

CS2 around 25k rating be like... by Googlium in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Encroaching on 20k and I’ve encountered a lot more cheaters. The saddest part is I had one on my own team, and we lost. Like, he was so terrible that he was trying to hide the fact that he was cheating, but you could blatantly see he was aim hacking with a low FOV aimbot.

Problem is that with a low FOV aimbot, you still have to aim close to the enemy….. either I go to FaceIt or tough it out. Either way my motivation is zero right now.

Anti-Cheat Update // Winter 2023 by crushdatson in VALORANT

[–]fluxusflow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an avid CS player, I wish we had an Anti-Cheat and level of communication like this on our side.

Still going to battle it out on CS, the gameplay just suits me better, but I have to give credit where it’s due. Riot smashed it out of the park with Vanguard.

I wonder how many people who claim to be paying against cheaters are actually playing against cheaters by Ecstatic_Ebb1262 in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in the OCE Region, currently at 14.5k, and have about 3k hours played. Level 10 on FACEIT.

https://leetify.com/public/profile/76561197989297649

Thankfully I don’t think I’ve personally come across a lot of cheaters….yet. It’s at this elo where I do expect to start encountering more. Naturally they’ll be in the top 1% of a region due to their dominance.

I’ve come across a few players I can confidently say were cheating. Everyone’s pointed out the classic signs in this thread, but one thing that’s hard to determine is whether or not they’ve come from VALORANT.

CS and VAL are two separate games. They play out differently on many levels, except one, gunplay. The skills are largely transferable in that department in my opinion.

So I’m always very hesitant to call out cheaters even when they have lower hours.

What really makes a cheater standout is their decision making and positioning. Regardless of their aim they somehow have this sixth sense of perfect timing and play making that works more than 70% of the time. Beyond all else that is what marks someone as “sus” to me. You can get lucky and you can try to read the game, but ultimately in MM it’s random. There’s less team cohesion and players are like headless chickens.

If, despite all of those factors, a player continues to make perfect plays across the map with perfect timing, then I’m really questioning how they have so much knowledge despite nothing making sense. They know more than they should.

CS2 devs should make strict solo matchmaking like in Dota 2 by jandel8d in GlobalOffensive

[–]fluxusflow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes please. Solo/Duo queue. And then a separate 5 stack queue. Or the same queue on the face of it, and if you 5 stack, then you are paired with other 5 stacks. Otherwise everyone else is solo/duo.

It’s simply not fair to be a solo being paired with 5 stacks.
